Buying too many clothes is very popular in some parts of the world. The main reasons behind this are socialism and fast changing fashion. People can be persuaded to do less shopping for clothes by explaining them its impact on environment sustainability.

One of the most significant reasons of buying far too many clothes is socialism. In today's world, probably every person is using the social media to get in contact with their loved ones. It is the platform where people share their pictures. To get more likes and popularity, they wanted to upload their pictures in different clothes. When people uploaded their pictures in one dress, next time they want new dress to upload picture. Therefore, they end up in buying too many clothes which they never wear again.

Another considerable reason of buying many clothes is fast changing fashion. Nowadays, Fashion is changing too frequently, to get upgrade with the fast paced fashion, people buy too many clothes. They believe that if they were not upgraded themselves, then might be they left behind in every sector whether it is about getting jobs or being invited to the parties. As employers also look for the person who is diversified and change according to fashion because employees are going to be the face of the organisation.

People can be convinced to reduce the number of clothing they purchase by explaining them the reason how it impact the environment. As if demand increases, then manufacturers of clothing companies need to do more production. As a result, more pollution and waste which finally going to dump in the rivers or causing land pollution. Consequently, people need to be more careful while buying farr too many clothes.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 7.0

The response addresses all parts of the task, examining both the reasons for excessive clothing purchases (social media and fast-changing fashion) and solutions (educating people on environmental impact). The position is clear throughout. The ideas are relevant and extended, though the development leans somewhat on generalisations, particularly regarding how employers view clothing choices. The introduction of 'socialism' appears to be a vocabulary misuse for 'social media', but the body paragraph clarifies the intended meaning adequately. Overall, the task is successfully covered, aligning well with the Band 6.5 to 7.0 profile. Because the ideas are sufficiently elaborated and directly answer the prompt's questions, a solid Band 7 is appropriate.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0

The essay presents a clear logical organisation with a recognizable introduction, body paragraphs addressing separate ideas, and a brief conclusion. Cohesive devices such as 'One of the most significant reasons', 'Another considerable reason', and 'In conclusion' are used to structure the text, though referencing and transitional phrases occasionally feel a bit mechanical or repetitive. Paragraphing is used appropriately to separate distinct points, with each body paragraph focusing on a specific sub-topic. While the progression is generally clear, the overuse of formulaic transitions slightly limits the natural flow of the essay, placing it comfortably within the Band 6 territory.

Lexical Resource — Band 6.0

The student demonstrates an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, attempting less common items such as 'environmental sustainability', 'diversified', and 'frequently'. However, there are noticeable lexical inaccuracies and word choice errors, such as using 'socialism' instead of 'social media', 'doing shopping' rather than 'shopping', and 'farr too many'. Collocations are occasionally awkward, such as 'get upgrade with the fast paced fashion'. While these errors do not impede overall communication, they prevent the essay from achieving a higher band score, making Band 6 an accurate reflection of the lexical control demonstrated.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.0

The writing exhibits a mix of simple and complex sentence forms, demonstrating some attempt at variety with conditional and subordinate clauses (e.g., 'As if demand increases, then manufacturers...'). However, there are frequent grammatical errors in verb tense consistency, preposition usage, and article placement, such as 'people can be persuaded to do less shopping... by explaining them its impact', 'if they were not upgraded themselves, then might be they left behind', and 'how it impact the environment'. Although these errors occur regularly, they rarely impede communication, allowing the reader to follow the argument without significant confusion. This positions the grammar firmly at Band 6.
