Student answer (Band 6.0)
In this modern era, people like to follow the fashion trends and they start ordering more and more attairs so that they can look more smart and fashionable. There are many reasons behind this development and discuss solutions to mitigate this problem in the upcoming paragraphs.
The first and foremost reason is that people get influence by their favourite celebrities or role model via social media or movies. As a result, they also follow that same trend so that they can also look elegant like them. Secondly, western culture these days, masses love to wear western dresses that are not only cheap but also more beautiful as compared to their traditional dresses. Resultantly, they shop more and more so that they can also try new suits and new dresses which other countries people like to wear. Finally, online shoppinga also the main reason to encourage the mass do more shopping. In this tech world, its really easy to order anything anywhere with the help of any online websites such as Amazon, Shin and so on. Which provides the best online delivery without wasting any time or travel.
There are some solutions to solve this catastrophic problem. Firstly, impose tax on the buying western or cheapest clothes which will help to reduce the people buying clothes. Secondaly, Government should aware the masses about the soil pollution or litter increasing in the environment. Government should enourage the masses use old and torn clothes for household chores inside of using and throw culture.Masses should use three R - reduce, reuse and recycle. Finally, through the media regime should also aware the masses about their culture and traditions. For example if they continsouly use western clothes then they will lose their own traditional attairs identity. Government should encourage the masses use local products more.
Although, wearing vareity of clothes is good for fashion but it increases the litter in the environment, waste of money and lose their culture and tradition identity. As per my viewpoint, people should shop according their needs.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.5
The response addresses all parts of the task by discussing both the reasons for excessive clothing purchases and proposing solutions to mitigate the problem. The student presents a clear position throughout the essay. Ideas are extended and supported, such as mentioning the influence of celebrities, the availability of western clothing, and online shopping platforms. Solutions are also adequately explored, including taxation, governmental campaigns, and the promotion of the three Rs (reduce, reuse, and recycle). While some ideas could benefit from deeper elaboration and concrete personal examples rather than generalisations, the overall coverage meets the requirements for a Band 6.5 to 7.0. Given the clear and relevant treatment of both prompt questions, it fits comfortably within the Band 6 descriptor, leaning towards Band 7 due to the breadth of points covered.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The essay is divided into a logical four-paragraph structure comprising an introduction, two body paragraphs, and a conclusion. There is a clear overall progression from identifying the causes to suggesting solutions. Cohesive devices are employed to connect ideas, such as 'The first and foremost reason', 'Secondly', and 'Finally'. However, some cohesive links and referencing are slightly mechanical or awkward, as seen in incomplete sentence fragments like 'Which provides the best online delivery' and 'Resultantly'. Paragraphing is used appropriately to separate different thematic areas of the prompt. Overall, the logical flow is maintained, placing this performance securely at a Band 6.0.
Lexical Resource: Band 6.0
The student demonstrates an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, attempting less common items such as 'catastrophic problem', 'regime', and 'traditional attairs identity'. However, there are noticeable word-choice and spelling errors throughout the text, including 'attairs' instead of attire, 'shoppinga' instead of shopping, and 'continsouly' instead of continuously. Some collocations are unnatural, such as 'impose tax on the buying western or cheapest clothes' and 'Government should aware the masses'. Despite these lexical inaccuracies and spelling slips, communication is not significantly impeded, reflecting the characteristics of a Band 6.0 performance.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 6.0
The response exhibits a mix of simple and complex sentence forms. The writer attempts various complex structures, such as relative clauses ('dresses that are not only cheap but also more beautiful') and conditional or concessive clauses ('Although, wearing vareity of clothes is good...'). However, there are frequent grammatical errors, particularly with missing auxiliary verbs, incorrect prepositions, and faulty verb forms, such as 'people get influence by', 'masses love to wear western dresses', and 'Government should aware the masses'. Punctuation errors also occur, such as comma splices and missing commas. These errors require some effort from the reader to parse, aligning the grammar with a Band 5.5 or 6.0; a Band 6 is awarded as meaning remains clear despite the frequent slips.
