Student answer (Band 6.0)
In some cities, it is noticable that people likes to buy more and more clothes not only to present their image to the society but also wants to try new fashion on regular basis.I agree with the given statement and I would like to explain possible reasoans and some stratergies to reduce this trend in the ensuing paragraphs.
To begin with, there are many reasons that influnces people to buy multiple clothes. However, the foremost reson for buying extensive range of cloth is fashion. In which people try to wear clothes according to new treands and the outfits which gives felling of comfort and flexibility. Generally, every individual choose their attire accoding to the fuction, fesitival or ocassion they are going to attend. Moreover, special events need special outfits such as, if person is going to attend the mairrage then the outfit must be ethnic wear. Whereas, if person is hosting a meeting the attire should be professional clothes. Some individual like to buy too many clothes because of they want to show their image or status to the community and to maintain that it is necessary for them to buy expensive, branded clothes which represent their superiority in the socity.
I think people can use the same outfit for different fuctions which will help them to buy less clothes.Another trend is very popular in which people can wear their clothes once and then they modify it and wear it again which help them to re-use of clothes. It is very good if people rent their outfit rather than buying them for one specific occasion. For example, I my self rented my own marrige outfit because I know that I am not going to wear it agin in my life.
To sum up, There are various alternatives avialable in market for clothes so people should try to adapt new renting system rather than buying it.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
The response addresses both parts of the prompt: reasons why people buy too many clothes and how they can be persuaded to reduce this behavior. A clear position is stated in the introduction, agreeing with the premise and outlining the structure of the essay. The reasons are developed, mentioning fashion trends, suitability for specific events, and social status. Solutions are also provided, such as re-using outfits, modifying clothes, and renting garments for special occasions. However, the development of ideas tends to be slightly repetitive and lacks depth in places, especially regarding persuasion strategies. Overall, the content is relevant and adequately covers the requirements of the task, earning a solid band 6.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The essay is organized into four paragraphs, including an introduction, two body paragraphs, and a conclusion. There is a logical progression overall, moving from reasons to solutions. However, the use of cohesive devices is sometimes mechanical or faulty, such as 'To begin with, there are many reasons that influnces people to buy multiple clothes. However, the foremost reson...' where transition usage is slightly awkward. Paragraphing is present, but the boundaries between ideas could be managed more smoothly. Referencing is occasionally unclear, such as pronoun usage referring back to previous nouns. Despite these minor issues, the essay maintains a coherent overall arrangement.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
The vocabulary used is adequate for the task, attempting some less common items such as 'ethnic wear', 'professional clothes', and 'superiority in the socity'. However, there are numerous spelling and word choice errors throughout the text, including 'noticable' instead of noticeable, 'likes' instead of like, 'influnces' instead of influence, 'reson' instead of reason, 'treands' instead of trends, 'fuctions' instead of functions, 'fesitival' instead of festival, 'ocassion' instead of occasion, 'mairrage' instead of marriage, 'agin' instead of again, and 'avialable' instead of available. While these errors do not impede communication, their frequency prevents the score from reaching a higher band.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5
The writer attempts a mix of simple and complex sentence forms, demonstrating some variety in structure. For instance, relative clauses and conditional-like phrasing are used, such as 'clothes according to new treands and the outfits which gives felling of comfort'. However, there are frequent grammatical errors, particularly with subject-verb agreement ('people likes', 'person is going'), missing articles, and awkward phrasing ('because of they want to show', 'I my self rented'). Punctuation is generally acceptable, but the grammatical mistakes cause some distraction for the reader, though they rarely impede overall understanding.
