Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 3.5

The response addresses the prompt only partially, touching upon online shopping videos as a reason for buying clothes and mentioning personal shopping habits, but fails to adequately develop ideas for both parts of the task. Furthermore, the length requirement is not met, as the response contains only 155 words, falling significantly short of the 250-word minimum. The ideas presented are limited and lack extension, providing only brief mentions rather than fully supported arguments and relevant examples.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 3.5

There is some organisation of ideas moving from online shopping to physical stores, but overall there is no clear progression throughout the text. Paragraphing is not used effectively, with the entire response condensed or poorly structured without clear topic transitions. Cohesive devices are largely absent, repetitive, or inadequate, making it difficult for the reader to follow a logical flow of thought between sentences and ideas.

Lexical Resource: Band 4.5

The vocabulary used is basic and repetitive, utilizing everyday terms such as 'clothes', 'videos', 'market', and 'shirt'. There are noticeable spelling and word choice errors, such as 'cloths' instead of 'clothes', 'interst' instead of 'interested', and 'shoping' instead of 'shopping'. These lexical limitations and errors strain the reader's understanding at times and show a restricted range of vocabulary suitable for the task.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5

The grammatical range is very limited, relying heavily on simple sentence structures that are often faulty. There are frequent errors in verb tenses, articles, and sentence formation, such as in 'when the customer watching video many video edits customer attentions' and 'i useing this shirt ehan i wash my shirt colour is not good'. These frequent errors cause difficulty for the reader and reflect a weak control of basic grammatical structures and punctuation.
