Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0

The response addresses the task only partially. While it attempts to cover both parts of the prompt regarding the reasons for excessive clothing purchases and solutions to reduce them, the ideas remain limited and under-developed. For example, the reasons provided in the second paragraph, such as skin preference and lack of knowledge about fashion, are confusing and lack clear explanation or effective support. Furthermore, the solutions proposed in the third paragraph, such as individuals needing to know their fabric choice or governments making clothes suitable for everyone's skin, lack clarity and realism. Although the conclusion mentions social media and influencers, these points are introduced too late and are not properly integrated into the body of the essay, keeping the development weak.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5

There is some basic organization with an introduction, body paragraphs, and a conclusion, but the essay lacks a clear overall progression. The logical flow between and within sentences is frequently disrupted by confusing statements and awkward phrasing, such as the transition into the third paragraph with 'However, It is often said that every dark every dark cloud has a silver lining'. Cohesive devices are used, but they are often inaccurate, mechanical, or repetitive. Paragraphing is attempted, but the internal cohesion of the paragraphs is weak, and referencing is occasionally unclear, making it difficult for the reader to follow the progression of thought from reasons to solutions seamlessly.

Lexical Resource: Band 4.5

The vocabulary used is limited and barely adequate for the task. There are numerous noticeable errors in spelling, word choice, and word formation throughout the response, such as 'steams' instead of stems, 'underlining' instead of underlying, 'effetively' instead of effectively, 'cetagrized' instead of categorized, 'prefreance' instead of preference, 'knowleadage' instead of knowledge, 'diffrent' instead of different, 'reserch' instead of research, 'infulancer' instead of influencer, and 'colloborative' instead of collaborative. These lexical inaccuracies and spelling errors are frequent and occasionally cause some difficulty for the reader, preventing the score from rising further.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

The writer demonstrates a limited range of structures, relying primarily on simpler sentence patterns with frequent errors when attempting more complex formations. There are frequent mistakes in verb tenses, subject-verb agreement, articles, and prepositions within grammatical patterns. Examples of grammatical lapses include 'In certain parts in this world', 'purchase so many clothing they are cetagrized', 'that why they had to buy clothes', and 'Government should make clothes which are suitable to everyones skin'. Punctuation errors and capitalization issues also occur, and these frequent mistakes frequently cause difficulty and strain for the reader.
