Student answer (Band 5.5)

Nowadays people use social media apps which attract people to buy clothes. Some countries are very rich while some are very poor. People who are born in rich countries i feel they are lucy because they can afford good food and clothes. Some pupils say that individuals buy too many clothes. I am going to discuss point of view in upcoming paragraphs, whats the reason and how can we reduce the number of clothes they buy.

First and foremost, there are some reasons for this, people are recieve number of advertisement on television, instagram, facebook or on youtube.People see variety of clothes that is offered with discount, so they continue to buy more clothes. Sometime they wear it once but sometime they wait for perfect time that will never comes in the closet. Another one is poor finanical health. People donot know to save and invest money, so they spent most of the money on clothing, which is not right way to utilize the money. Moreover, sometimes, big cities offer the event. Individuals who visit cinemas, restaurant, concert halls, they want to look more perfect, so they simply spend more money on clothes so they look more handsome in big cities.

On the other hand, how can people stop buying too many clothes , government should have to stop too many advertisements oon social media apps, they can fix the limit of advertisement on social media because it attract youngsters to buy clothing. Pupils should aware about environment because it impact on eco system because most of the people donot repeat the clothes and its wastage of clothes and they just buy the new clothes, which cost alot, such as prodution of clothes took time and money. People should buy only comfortable clothes which they should wear on any event, speacial occasions and on daily work.

In conclusion, individuals should aware about the money where they spent, from my point of view they spent money on important things which are more important than the clothes or they can save the money for better future.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5

You address both parts of the question: you identify advertising, spending habits and social occasions as reasons, then suggest limiting online advertisements, raising environmental awareness and choosing versatile clothes. These are relevant responses, but several ideas are only briefly stated or not clearly explained. For example, the point about “poor finanical health” shifts from people buying too many clothes to their general inability to save, without showing why this leads to excessive clothing purchases. The proposed advertising limit is also not developed with an explanation of how it could be implemented or why it would persuade consumers. Your position is present, especially in the conclusion, but the opening comments about rich and poor countries do not clearly support the main argument. Explain and illustrate each key point more fully.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5

The response has a recognisable structure, with an introduction, a paragraph on causes, a paragraph on solutions and a conclusion. Linking phrases such as “First and foremost,” “Moreover” and “In conclusion” help signal stages in the discussion. However, progression within paragraphs is sometimes unclear: the opening moves from social media to differences between rich and poor countries, then to pupils’ opinions without establishing how these points connect. Some linking is mechanical or inaccurate, as in “On the other hand” before solutions, and several long sentences join multiple ideas without clear punctuation. References such as “it” in “because it impact on eco system” are also unclear. Group related points more tightly and use clearer sentence boundaries and references.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use enough topic-related vocabulary to communicate the main ideas, including “advertisement,” “discount,” “environment” and “comfortable clothes.” There are also attempts at more specific expressions, such as “eco system” and “special occasions.” However, the range is limited and some wording is repetitive, particularly repeated uses of “clothes,” “people” and “buy.” Several word choices or collocations are inaccurate or unclear, including “lucy” for “lucky,” “look more perfect,” and “poor finanical health.” Spelling errors such as “recieve,” “prodution” and “speacial” are noticeable and reduce precision. Build a wider set of accurate phrases for consumer behaviour and sustainability, and check spelling and natural word combinations when editing.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and more extended sentences, including a reason clause in “People see variety of clothes that is offered with discount, so they continue to buy more clothes.” However, complex sentences are often not controlled, and frequent errors sometimes make the relationships between ideas difficult to follow. Examples include “people are recieve number of advertisement,” “they spent most of the money,” and “which they should wear on any event,” where verb forms, agreement or sentence construction are faulty. Articles and plurals are also inconsistent, as in “the event” and “number of advertisement.” Punctuation is often missing around sentence boundaries, producing run-ons. Practise accurate subject–verb patterns and verb forms, then divide longer ideas into complete sentences.
