Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0

You address both parts of the question: you identify fashion-conscious lifestyles, reluctance to repeat outfits, and online discounts as reasons, then suggest practical guidance and government action. These are relevant ideas, and the example of showing people how much they spend gives the response a useful direction. However, the causes are explained more fully than the solutions. The proposal to make policies that prohibit buying clothes for a set period is not clearly explained or shown to be practical, and the interview-and-statistics idea needs a clearer account of how it would persuade people to change. Develop each solution by explaining its likely effect and giving a specific example; this would make the response more complete and convincing.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0

The response has a clear overall structure: an introduction, a paragraph on causes, a paragraph on solutions, and a conclusion. Linking expressions such as “Additionally,” “Moreover,” and “In conclusion” help signal the stages of the argument. Within paragraphs, however, some connections are mechanical or unclear. For example, “For example” introduces a long explanation of online discounts, but the relationship between trying clothes online and buying more is not fully clear. The solutions paragraph also moves from financial guidance to government restrictions without explaining how the ideas relate. The opening ends with “However, this problem can be addressed by” and leaves the thought unfinished. Use complete topic sentences and clearer links between each claim, explanation, and example.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You attempt a range of topic-related vocabulary, including “fashionable,” “self-confidence,” “discount advertisements,” “statistics,” and “policies.” This gives you enough language to communicate the main ideas, but several word choices and collocations are inaccurate or unnatural, sometimes making the meaning harder to follow. Examples include “purchase lot of fabric,” “specific areas in universe,” “wear clothes on repitition,” and “in greed of discounts.” Spelling errors such as “thier,” “repitition,” and “advertisment” also reduce accuracy. Build a bank of natural phrases for this topic, such as “buy more clothes than they need,” “follow fashion trends,” and “be tempted by discounts,” and check spelling and word forms during revision.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You use both simple and more complex sentence forms, including explanations introduced by “Because” and “since,” and the main ideas are generally understandable. However, errors in sentence structure, agreement, and verb forms occur across the response. For instance, “it allow them” needs subject–verb agreement, while “someone do not like” and “they always prefer have” contain errors in agreement and verb pattern. The opening sentence of the solutions paragraph, beginning “First prominent solution could be guide them,” is difficult to parse because its structure is incomplete. The introduction also ends with an unfinished clause. Practise building complete sentences with a clear subject and verb, and check agreement and verb patterns when editing; this will make your complex ideas easier to follow.
