Student answer (Band 5.5)
In recent years, people have started buying excessive garments in few portion of the globe. This is beacuse of highly fashionable trend ongoing in today's society. In this essay I will discuss why this is happening, and how pupils can be persuaded to buy fewer numbers of clothes.
To begin with the cause, as the society is bending towards fashion agressively and started to buy too many clothes. One main reason according to me will be to show off thier dressing scence in the society. Secondly, most of the company's have started making clothes according to seasons as compared to past, so people would change thier clothing style suited to weather or outer conditions. Moreover, people also get persued by social media as they see people wearing different stylish clothes on day-to-day basis without any occations. For example, In Italy most of the people are well dressed on the regular day and is known for it's fashion style.
One main reason, puplis can be persuaded to not to buy to many clothes would be by spreading the awarness that some of the high end clothes are made from animal skins, which are beign hunted just for fashion purpose. Secondly, we can make them understand spending too much amount of money on clothes may help them look better but might affect their financial aspects. However, we can plan campains in school or collages for students who are young and spending too much on colthes, to make them understand the right use of money insted of spending on garments.
In conclusion, by taking these few smaller steps, we can try to make some changes in society by which we might help people to persue to not buy too many garments.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
You address both parts of the question and give relevant reasons, including social pressure to look fashionable, seasonal clothing ranges and influence from social media. You also suggest awareness campaigns about animal-derived clothing, financial consequences and school or college campaigns. However, several points are asserted rather than explained: the Italy example does not clearly show why people buy too many clothes, and the animal-skin point applies only to some garments. The response therefore covers the task, but the ideas are limited and unevenly developed. To strengthen it, explain how each cause encourages repeated purchases and show more directly how each proposed measure could change buying habits.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The response has a clear overall arrangement: an introduction, a paragraph on causes, a paragraph on solutions and a conclusion. Signposting such as “To begin with,” “Secondly,” and “In conclusion” helps readers follow the main stages. However, progression within paragraphs is sometimes mechanical, with several points simply added through “Moreover” and “Secondly” rather than linked through explanation. The opening of the causes paragraph is also unclear, and the Italy example is not smoothly connected to the point about social media. Use clearer topic sentences and develop each point before moving to the next; make references such as “these few smaller steps” more specific.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use some relevant topic vocabulary, including “fashionable,” “social media,” “financial aspects” and “garments,” and the meaning is generally recoverable. However, the range is limited and several inaccurate or misspelled choices make the writing less clear, such as “dressing scence,” “persued,” “occations” and “colthes.” Some phrases are also unnatural, including “in few portion of the globe,” “outer conditions” and “right use of money.” Aim for accurate, natural collocations and check spelling carefully. More precise terms such as “consumer pressure,” “seasonal collections” and “impulse purchases” would help explain the issue without relying on repeated general words like “clothes.”
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt some complex sentence forms, for example “as they see people wearing different stylish clothes” and “spending too much amount of money on clothes may help them look better but might affect their financial aspects.” However, these attempts are often faulty, and frequent errors sometimes make the intended meaning difficult to follow. Examples include “as the society is bending … and started to buy,” where the verb forms do not match, and “most of the people … and is known,” where agreement is incorrect. There are also problems with articles, plurals and infinitive patterns, as in “not to buy to many clothes.” Practise building accurate sentences first, then add subordinate clauses and check agreement and verb forms.
