Student answer (Band 5.0)
In most of the parts of world, people purchase alot of dresses. There are several reasons for this.
Several methods should be made to convince people to avoid excessive buying of clothes. I will be discussing my point of views in this essay.
In a contemporary world, many individuals are following every new trend and buying clothes is also a new trend nowadays as social media platforms display every new fashion trend that attracts people to buy specific cloth additionally , the brand sales almost every brand live sales on their brand after every 15days of time period this also bring a huge crowd towards mall to purchase their fit. Moreover, even the wardrobe is fully packed with clothes and new fits by looking at the advertisements on television that attracts other sides to make as many clothes as possible.
There should be several methods to convience others to stop buying many clothes, if we stop following every new fashion trend as well as following all other celebrities to think what they wear we can refuse to buy much clothes.
There is no need to to go malls to get clothes on sales for that we need to stop those applications from sending us update or reminder about their sales packages in that way it will become much more easier for a person to avoid this hustle.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0
You address both questions: you identify social-media trends, celebrity influence, advertising and sales as reasons, then suggest unfollowing trends and disabling sales notifications. These points are relevant, but they are mostly listed rather than explained or supported with a specific example. For instance, you say sales “bring a huge crowd” to malls, but do not explain why discounts encourage unnecessary purchases or illustrate the effect. The response also does not meet the required minimum length, so there is limited space to develop the causes and solutions. Your position is understandable, but the opening promise to discuss your views is not followed by a clear concluding summary. Develop each main idea with an explanation and a relevant example.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
The response has a basic overall structure: an introduction, a paragraph on reasons and a paragraph on solutions. This helps the reader distinguish the two parts of the task, and linking expressions such as “Moreover” and “There should be several methods” signal relationships between ideas. However, progression within the paragraphs is sometimes difficult to follow. The long sentence beginning “In a contemporary world” combines trends, social media, sales and mall visits without clear boundaries, while “additionally” is awkwardly placed. The final paragraph also joins several recommendations in one extended sentence. Use shorter, clearly organised sentences and make each paragraph develop one main point; a brief conclusion would give the response a more complete progression.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use relevant vocabulary for the topic, including “fashion trend,” “social media platforms,” “advertisements” and “sales,” so the main ideas can generally be understood. However, the range is limited and several choices or forms are inaccurate or repetitive, which makes some phrases unclear. For example, “purchase their fit” does not naturally express buying clothes, and “make as many clothes as possible” seems to mean buying them. “Dresses” is also too narrow for the task’s broader topic of clothes. Spelling errors such as “alot” and “convience” are noticeable. Build a more precise set of topic phrases, such as “buy new outfits,” “impulse purchases” and “promotional offers,” and check spelling and collocations.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and more complex sentences, including clauses introduced by “as” and “if,” but control is inconsistent. Several sentences are run-ons or have faulty clause connections, particularly the long sentence beginning “In a contemporary world” and the solution sentence beginning “There should be several methods.” There are also frequent errors in articles, agreement, plurals and sentence construction: “In most of the parts of world” needs article and preposition correction, while “this also bring” has incorrect subject–verb agreement. The phrase “There is no need to to go” repeats the infinitive marker. These errors sometimes make the reader work to understand the intended meaning. Practise accurate sentence boundaries and check each sentence for agreement, articles and repeated words.
