Student answer (Band 5.0)
Fashion shows have a great impact on clothing industries. In some countries, individuals have far more clothes then they need. The upcoming paragraphs will discuss the
causes and the solution to solve this problem.
To start with,Firstly, people are crazy for clothng brands. Its kind of a way for them to showoff their richness in front of family and friends.Secondly, celebrities play a vital to encourage the public to wear a new pair of clothes everytime they go out and also do promotions for the big clothing brands. Folks follow blindly whatever their ideal is doing. For example,a recent study from oxford showed that teenagers have more trust on their favourite celebrites rather their family member and relatives.
On the other hand, there is a Effective solution to deal with over purchasing of clothes is government should start a campign where they can encourage the people to repeat their clothes trend and also give them advice on how the overpurchasing starve them financially.
Authories should also not let the clothing brands advertise on every social media platform. For intance, last year chinese government took action against the companies who do false claims in their Products which help people to get more good products in the market.
To concluse with , people can buy brands and clothes whatever they want to buy but unneccery shoping is always bad for your bank balance and surrounding. fgoevrnment s

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0
You address both questions by identifying brand status and celebrity influence as reasons, then suggesting public campaigns and restrictions on advertising. These points are relevant, but they are only briefly explained: for instance, the claim that people buy brands to show wealth is not developed with a clear explanation or example. The proposed campaign to encourage people to repeat clothes is also useful, but its likely effect is not explained. The example about Chinese action against false product claims does not clearly show how this would reduce clothing purchases. The response is 21 words below the required minimum, which limits the space available to develop and support your ideas. Explain each main point more fully and connect examples directly to the question.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
The response has a basic overall structure, with an introduction, a paragraph on causes, a paragraph on solutions, and a conclusion. This helps the reader identify the two parts of the task. However, progression within paragraphs is uneven, and some linking is mechanical or confusing. The opening of the causes paragraph, “To start with, Firstly,” repeats the same function, while “On the other hand” does not clearly signal the move from causes to solutions. Some ideas are crowded into long sentences, and the final sentence is difficult to follow because it combines several points without clear connections. Use one clear transition at a time, organise each paragraph around a central idea, and make the relationship between examples and claims explicit.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use some relevant topic vocabulary, including “clothing brands,” “celebrities,” “promotions,” and “over purchasing,” so the main subject is generally clear. However, the range is limited and several expressions are inaccurate or awkward, such as “showoff their richness,” “wear a new pair of clothes everytime,” and “repeat their clothes trend.” Spelling errors—including “clothng,” “celebrites,” “campign,” and “unneccery”—also make the writing less clear and polished. Some wording is too general, such as “a great impact” and “a vital,” and does not express the intended meaning precisely. Build a bank of accurate phrases for consumer behaviour and sustainable fashion, and check spelling and collocations carefully before submitting.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt some longer sentence forms, including the example beginning “For example, a recent study…” and the sentence about government campaigns. However, the range is limited, and complex attempts are often difficult to control. For example, “there is a Effective solution … is government should start” has an unclear sentence structure, while “celebrities play a vital to encourage” is missing a grammatical element. There are also recurring problems with articles, agreement, and punctuation, as in “a recent study from oxford showed” and the run-together opening “industries.In.” These errors sometimes make the reader pause to interpret your meaning. Practise building accurate simple sentences first, then add subordinate clauses and check articles, verb forms, and sentence boundaries.
