Student answer (Band 6.0)
It is true that the fashion industry is booming all over the world. People are buying more than enough clothes nowadays. Cheaper price and huge discount and to stay upto date with current fashion style are two main reasons. These problem can be solve by individuals and government. I will explain both views in upcoming paraghraphs.
To start with first reason, it is common nowadays that people can buy clothes on low price. It is happening because of increasing number in the fashion companies and online shopping website where customers are getting more options and big discounts on clothes. As a result, people are buying clothes even though they have enough in quantity. Another reason is to stay updated with current clothing style. When people see changing in clothing style then they motivates to try those clothes. I must say that social media plays crucial role in order to make people try new style clothes as people post their picture on social media platforms and other wants to try the same thing. Therfore, people will buy more clothes.
However, individuals should understand what is more important; quality or quantities in clothes. Once they know that clothes should be in good quality which stay for a longer period then they will less likely to buy new clothes. I believe that clothing companies can play huge role here if they only produce good quality of products. It could be expensive but it is one time expense. Besids that local authorities can educate people about how important to buy clothes which stays for a long time. In addition, government should impose more tax if situations goes out of control.
To sum up, although cheaper price and highly discounts on products can make people to buy more clothes, I believe that if individuals understand diffrence between quality and quantities in clothes then this problem could be solved.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
You address both parts of the question: you identify low prices and discounts, along with pressure to follow fashion trends, as reasons for overbuying, then suggest better-quality clothing, public education and taxation as possible responses. These ideas are relevant, and your position is clear. However, some points are less fully developed than others. For example, you explain how social media encourages people to copy clothing styles, but the proposed tax is only briefly mentioned and its likely effect is not explained. The suggestion that people should value quality over quantity would also be stronger with a specific example or a clearer account of how it changes buying habits. Develop each solution by explaining its practical impact and who would implement it.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5
The response has a clear overall structure: an introduction, a paragraph on causes, a paragraph on solutions and a conclusion. The progression from reasons to ways of addressing the problem is easy to follow, and linking phrases such as “As a result,” “However” and “To sum up” help signal the stages of your argument. This meets the lower-band expectations securely and shows some features of stronger organisation. At times, though, the linking is formulaic, as in “To start with first reason,” and some references are unclear, such as “These problem” and “those clothes.” Use more natural transitions and make sure pronouns clearly refer to a specific idea. Grouping each cause and solution into a more developed sequence would also improve flow.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You use enough topic-related vocabulary to communicate the main ideas, including “fashion industry,” “social media platforms,” “good quality” and “impose more tax.” There are also attempts at more specific phrasing, such as “stay updated with current clothing style.” However, the range is limited and several word-choice, collocation and spelling problems make the expression less natural: “on low price,” “huge discount,” “highly discounts” and “one time expense” are examples. Spelling slips such as “Therfore,” “Besids” and “diffrence” also reduce accuracy. Build a wider set of natural collocations for consumer behaviour and clothing, and check spelling and word forms carefully. More precise vocabulary would help you express the causes and solutions with greater flexibility.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5
You use a mix of simple and complex sentence forms, including a conditional structure in “if they only produce good quality of products” and a relative clause in “clothes which stays for a long time.” The main message is generally understandable, but some grammatical errors recur. For example, “These problem can be solve” has problems with number and verb form, while “they motivates” and “other wants” show subject–verb agreement errors. Articles and sentence construction also need attention, as in “plays crucial role” and “how important to buy clothes.” The sentence “When people see changing in clothing style then they motivates” is difficult to control grammatically. Practise accurate agreement, verb forms and article use, then proofread complex sentences to ensure their clauses are complete and correctly connected.
