Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.5

You address all three required points: you say the noise began shortly after the new neighbour moved in, explain its effects on your sleep and work, and ask the agency to take action. The impact is relevant and specific, especially the link between poor sleep and reduced productivity. The request, however, remains general: “take a action” does not tell the agency what you want it to do, such as contact the neighbour or enforce quiet hours. The opening also contains a confusing description of who is playing the games. To strengthen the letter, state the timeline more clearly and make a specific, polite request. The purpose and overall position are clear, while some details are less fully developed.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5

The letter has a recognisable structure: the opening explains the complaint, the next paragraph describes its effects, and the closing asks for a response. This gives the reader a coherent overall route through the message. Some links between ideas are less clear, however. In “Two or three day everythings going smothely but all of sudden,” the contrast and timeline are difficult to follow, and the long sentence about waking early and the schedule becoming disrupted combines several points without clear separation. “Moreover” appropriately introduces an additional effect, though the sequence of consequences could be organised more cleanly. Use shorter sentences for separate effects and clearer time markers, such as “After two or three quiet days…”

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use enough topic-related vocabulary to communicate the main complaint, including “high volume,” “sleep,” “work,” “productivity,” and “rules and regulation.” However, the range is limited and several spelling and word-choice errors make parts of the letter harder to understand, such as “neighour,” “apparantent,” “concerate,” and “unbearble.” Some combinations are also unnatural: “adjust with this noise” and “my all the schedule mess up” do not express the ideas idiomatically. Aim to learn complete phrases for complaints, such as “the noise is disrupting my sleep” and “my daily routine has been affected.” More accurate spelling and natural collocations would make the message clearer and more professional.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt to connect ideas in longer sentences, for example by explaining that poor sleep affects your work, and you use some simple sentence forms to report the timeline. However, the range is limited, and errors in verb forms, articles, agreement, and sentence construction occur throughout. Examples include “new neighbour came,” “it is continue,” “your agency take a action,” and “my all the schedule mess up.” These make some relationships between events difficult to follow. Practise building accurate sentences with a clear subject and verb, such as “The noise began after the new neighbour moved in” and “It has affected my sleep and concentration.” Check articles and verb agreement before sending a formal letter.
