Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.5
The letter addresses all three required points and maintains a suitably formal purpose: you report the late-night gaming, explain its effect on your sleep and work, and ask the agency to intervene. The timing is also clear in “the last three months.” These details make the complaint relevant and understandable. However, some points are not fully developed: the start of the problem is not linked to a specific change or event, and the requested action is somewhat unclear because you ask for a notice or warning, then suggest finding a new apartment for you. Clarifying the preferred solution and explaining the impact with a little more precision would make the response more complete and persuasive.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5
The letter has a clear overall arrangement: it introduces the complaint, gives its duration, describes the effects, and ends with requests. Paragraphing helps the reader follow these stages, and phrases such as “The primary one” and “Despite this” attempt to connect ideas. Some links, however, are mechanical or unclear. For example, “There are multifarious ways which showed how noise effect me” does not lead smoothly into the effects, while “Otherwise” does not clearly express the relationship between asking for a warning and leaving the apartment. The final paragraph also presents several possible actions without indicating which is the main request. Use simpler, more precise transitions and make the sequence of requested actions explicit.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You use vocabulary relevant to a formal complaint, including “inconvenience,” “fatigue,” “concentration,” and “appreciate,” and you attempt more formal wording. However, several choices are inaccurate or unnatural, such as “multifarious ways,” “encountre these problems,” and “provide notice to neighbours.” Spelling errors, including “wiring,” “gmaes,” and “whhich,” also make the writing less fluent and can briefly distract the reader. Some phrases repeat “noise” and “problems” rather than using precise alternatives. Aim for natural collocations and check spelling carefully; accurate, straightforward language will be more effective than formal-sounding words used incorrectly.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
The response attempts both simple and more complex sentence forms, including a conditional request (“if you provide notice”) and a sentence explaining consequences (“which leads to…”). However, control is inconsistent, and errors sometimes make relationships between ideas difficult to follow. Examples include “another tenant play” instead of a correctly formed verb, “noise create,” and “I hope you will be considered,” where the verb construction is faulty. There are also problems with articles, plurals, and sentence boundaries, as in “this apartments” and the run-together opening sentence. Practise accurate subject–verb agreement, verb forms, and sentence punctuation, then proofread each sentence to ensure its clauses connect clearly.
