Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 3.5
The response addresses the task only partially. While the writer introduces themselves, mentions their location, and provides some personal details, the content is quite limited and lacks adequate development. Ideas such as future plans ('study abroad with full freedom') and hobbies ('playing Football with my friend') are stated simply without being extended or supported with further details. Furthermore, the response reads more like a personal social media introduction rather than a fully realized task response, meaning the overall position and purpose remain restricted and under-developed.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0
There is some basic organisation in the text, grouping personal details, hobbies, and educational background together, but there is no clear overall progression from sentence to sentence. Cohesive devices are inadequate, repetitive, or missing entirely, relying mostly on simple conjunctions or transitional words like 'However' and 'Furthermore' which are used somewhat mechanically. Paragraphing is also absent, as the entire text is presented as a single block. Referencing is occasionally unclear, which disrupts the smooth flow of ideas throughout the passage.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
The vocabulary range is limited and minimally adequate for communicating basic personal information. There are noticeable errors in word choice, word form, and spelling throughout the text, such as 'intermidiate', 'lazzy', 'intrest', and 'Computes science', which cause some difficulty for the reader. While the writer attempts to use some less common words like 'adapt' and 'programing language', these attempts are accompanied by inaccuracies in collocation and spelling that prevent a higher level from being achieved.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
The text demonstrates a limited range of grammatical structures, relying heavily on simple sentences alongside a few attempts at complex forms that are often faulty. There are frequent errors in verb forms, subject-verb agreement, and articles, such as 'My village name is' instead of 'The name of my village is', 'My future plans is', 'likes the nature', and 'shad fresh oxygen'. Punctuation and capitalization are also inconsistent, and these frequent errors across basic and complex structures can cause difficulty for the reader.
