Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5

You address the main purpose of the letter and include the three requested points: the noise began after your first 15 days in the flat, it affects your sleep and rest, and you ask the agency to take action. However, the account of when it began is not fully clear, and the effect on your work and wellbeing could be explained more precisely. Your request, “give them notice to reduc…”, is cut off, so the agency is not told exactly what action you expect. The response is also 11 words below the required minimum, which limits the development of your points. Add a complete, specific request and a little more detail about the impact.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5

The letter has a basic sequence: you introduce the complaint, describe when the noise started, explain its effect, and ask for action. Paragraph breaks help separate these points. However, the progression is sometimes difficult to follow because several ideas are crowded into long sentences, particularly the paragraph beginning “I am working in sales department”. The connection between working late, communicating with overseas people, and needing rest could be made clearer. Some linking is also awkward, such as “but after that”, and the final sentence ends abruptly. Use shorter, clearly focused sentences and link each paragraph directly to one part of the task.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use enough topic-related vocabulary to communicate the basic complaint, including “video games”, “disturbing my sleep”, and “take some action”. However, the range is limited, and frequent spelling and word-choice errors make parts of the letter difficult to read, for example “noice”, “distarbed”, “peacfull”, and “silens”. Some phrases are also unnatural, such as “my young people group” and “I want to silence during night”. Choose precise expressions for the neighbour and the requested quiet, and check spelling carefully. A wider set of accurate complaint-related phrases would make the letter clearer and more appropriate for a formal agency.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

The response attempts both simple and longer sentence forms, but control is limited and errors occur frequently. For example, “my neighbour play video games” has incorrect subject–verb agreement, while “I was accommodat this flat one month ago” does not use a correct verb form. The sentence “First 15 days were realy peacfull but after that my young people group were make…” also shows problems with articles, tense, and sentence construction. These errors sometimes make the intended meaning hard to follow. Practise forming clear past-tense sentences to explain when the problem began, and use shorter sentence structures when describing its effects and your request.
