Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.5
The letter addresses all three required points: it identifies the late-night gaming, explains that the problem has continued for a couple of weeks and affects your sleep and work, and asks the agency to intervene or arrange a room change. The impact is made relevant with the detail that you must wake early and are tired after work. However, the requested action is not fully clear: “request to for the replacement of room or speak about this matter” presents two options without explaining which you prefer or what outcome you expect. To strengthen the response, state a specific, practical request—for example, asking the agency to contact the neighbour and ensure quiet hours, with a room change as a fallback. The purpose and tone are appropriate, though some points could be developed more precisely.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5
The letter has a recognisable structure: an opening complaint, a paragraph describing the problem and its effects, a request for action, and a polite closing. Sequencing phrases such as “To begin with” and “In particular” help guide the reader, and the overall progression is easy to follow. Some linking is mechanical, however, and the long sentence beginning “In particular” combines several ideas, making the relationship between the noise, your rest, and its effects less smooth. The request paragraph also moves abruptly from a room replacement to speaking with the tenant. Use clearer transitions and separate the preferred action from any alternative so that the agency can follow your reasoning more easily.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You use relevant vocabulary for a formal complaint, including “disturbance,” “assistance,” “professional life,” and “consideration.” These choices communicate the situation and show some range beyond basic wording. However, spelling and word-choice errors are noticeable, including “stiuation,” “assitance,” “neigbour,” and “convience,” and some phrases are not natural in this context, such as “replacement of room” and “the sound of playing video games.” These inaccuracies reduce the precision and polish of the letter, even though the main meaning remains understandable. Check spelling carefully and learn common collocations for complaints and accommodation requests, such as “request a room change” and “the noise from the neighbouring flat.”
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5
The response attempts both simple and more extended sentence forms, particularly in the explanation of how the noise affects your sleep and work. The main message is generally clear, but some grammatical errors remain. For example, “It has been couple weeks i could not get enough sleep” needs a clearer tense construction and an article, while “the sound … make me feel” has a subject–verb agreement error. The request “I would also like to request to for” is also structurally faulty, and punctuation is inconsistent, including spacing before full stops and capitalisation after commas. Aim for shorter, controlled sentences and check articles, verb agreement, and sentence boundaries before submitting.
