Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 3.5

You identify the central issue—loud noise from a neighbouring flat—and say it has been happening for two months. You also begin to explain its effect by linking it to your studies and need for sleep. However, the letter is incomplete: the impact is not fully described, and you do not state what action you want the agency to take. The unfinished “Furthermore,” leaves the reader without a closing request or conclusion. The response also falls 56 words short of the required minimum, which limits how fully you can address the three bullet points. To improve, complete each point with specific details and clearly ask the agency to contact the neighbour or take another appropriate step.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0

The ideas that are present follow a broadly understandable order: you introduce the noise, give its duration, and then explain your studies and sleep needs. The paragraph break also separates the problem from its effects. However, there is no clear overall progression because the letter stops at “Furthermore,” before developing the request or providing a closing. The link “Due to that” is understandable but not especially precise, and the opening sentence contains several ideas crowded together. Use separate paragraphs for the problem, its effects, and the action requested, then connect them with clear transitions such as “As a result” and “I would therefore ask you to…”.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use some relevant vocabulary for the situation, including “loud,” “late hours,” “mental health,” and “solving equations,” so the reader can identify the main concern. However, the range is limited and several spelling or word-choice errors make parts less clear, such as “noices,” “genrated,” and “pursuing in mathematical degree.” “Aid lot of my time” does not express the intended meaning naturally. Aim for accurate, conventional phrases suited to a formal complaint, such as “excessive noise,” “interrupts my sleep,” and “I am studying for a mathematics degree.” Proofreading spelling and checking collocations would make your message more precise and easier to read.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and more extended sentence forms, including the sentence beginning “Due to that,” which connects your studies with the problem. However, grammatical control is uneven, and errors sometimes make the intended meaning difficult to follow. For example, “I writing this letter” needs a finite verb (“I am writing”), while “I have been noticing this from last 2 months” needs a more accurate time expression (“for the last two months”). The sentence beginning “As right now” is also not formed correctly, and the final sentence is left incomplete. Practise complete sentence structures, verb forms, articles, and punctuation, and check each sentence for a clear subject and verb.
