Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0

You address all three required points: you say the noise began “nearly two weeks” ago, explain that it distracts your son during his exams, and ask the agency to speak to the neighbours and encourage headphone use. The complaint is relevant and the reader can understand the action you want. Some details are less fully developed, however: the opening says the problem has become unbearable because exams are coming, while the later account says they have already started, so the timing is not entirely clear. You could also specify the late-night hours and explain more directly how the noise affects your own use of the flat. A clearer, more consistently developed account would strengthen the letter.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0

The letter has a recognisable structure, moving from the complaint and background to its effects and your requested solution. Paragraph breaks help separate these stages. However, progression is sometimes disrupted by unclear links and abrupt transitions. For example, “Which is now unbearable issue” is detached from the opening sentence, and “This week my son's exams started” repeats information without clearly connecting it to the earlier statement that exams are coming. Linking words such as “nevertheless,” “however,” and “as a result” are used, but some do not express the relationship accurately. Organise each paragraph around one clear purpose and use simpler, more precise transitions and references to improve the flow.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use vocabulary relevant to a formal complaint, including “bring your attention,” “distracted,” and “solve this issue,” and you communicate the main problem despite errors. The range is limited in places, and several inaccurate word choices or spellings make the letter less clear or natural, such as “picefully,” “concertrate,” and “higher an apartment.” Some phrases are also awkward, including “the sound of playing games music.” Choose familiar, accurate expressions rather than attempting wording whose meaning or form is uncertain. More precise language for the noise, its impact, and the requested action would make the complaint clearer and more professional.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and more complex sentences, including a cause-and-effect construction with “as a result,” and the reader can generally follow your meaning. However, sentence boundaries and clause construction are often inaccurate. “Which is now unbearable issue” is a fragment, while “since, these neighbours also higher an apartment through your agency, it will your duty” does not form a clear grammatical sentence. There are also errors in verb forms, articles, and agreement, as in “neighbours who coming” and “my idea give.” Use complete sentences with a clear subject and verb, and check tense and article use. More accurate control of these patterns would make your message easier to read.
