Dear sir,

I am writing to express my concern about the excessive noise in neighourhood . I bought a home through accommodation agency and i purchased it almost two thousand dollar. Although when i bought it, there environment was peaceful, last two weeks, my neighourhood children play video games loudly at late night which effects my sleep and my family because we go to bed early at around 8 pm because every members go for duties in turn of which we can not take better sleeping as a consequence, it put adverse impact on our work performance because, we could not concentrate on their work. Moreover, while me and my family members are satisfy with accommodation agency due to cheaper and reliable. because they always give better discounts than other agency however, i am disappointed with the current problem in neighourhood. So, i request to either change my neighouring, or warning them to reduce the noise.

I hope you would attention on my problems and could let me know about further action.

Yours faithfully,

Gagan

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0

You address all three required points: you say the problem began “last two weeks,” explain that the noise affects your sleep and work performance, and ask the agency to warn the neighbours or move you. The complaint is relevant and your request is clear. However, some details are unclear or not fully developed. For example, “I bought a home” conflicts with the task’s situation that you rent a flat, and the explanation about family members going to work “in turn” is difficult to understand. The agency would also benefit from a more specific account of the late-night noise and a clear preferred solution. Develop these details while keeping the letter focused on your tenancy and the action you want.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5

The letter follows a generally understandable order: it introduces the complaint, describes its effects, and ends with a request. The opening and closing also make the purpose recognisable. However, most of the information is packed into one long paragraph, so the progression is difficult to follow. Several linking expressions, including “Although,” “Moreover,” and “however,” are used in ways that do not clearly show the relationship between ideas. The sentence beginning “Although when I bought it” combines the background, the noise, and its consequences without clear breaks. Use separate paragraphs for the problem, its effects, and your requested action, and connect each point more directly.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use some relevant language for a formal complaint, such as “excessive noise,” “disappointed,” and “work performance,” and the reader can identify the main issue. However, the range is limited and several word choices or collocations are inaccurate, which sometimes makes the message hard to interpret. For instance, “my neighourhood children” does not clearly identify the neighbour, while “change my neighouring” is not a natural way to request a move. “Take better sleeping” and “give better discounts” also do not express the intended meanings naturally. Aim for precise phrases such as “my neighbour’s children,” “relocate me to another flat,” and “get enough sleep.” Check spelling and word forms carefully.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and complex sentences, including a sentence beginning with “Although” and one using “because,” but the longer structures are not consistently controlled. Some errors make relationships between ideas difficult to follow: “Although when I bought it” has an awkward clause structure, and “every members go” has a subject–verb agreement and plural error. There are also problems with articles and sentence boundaries, as in “there environment” and the long sentence that runs from the peaceful setting through the effects on work. Use shorter sentences to express one main idea at a time, and check agreement, articles, and punctuation. This will make your meaning clearer while allowing you to retain some complex structures.
