Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 4.5
You identify the central issue—your neighbour makes loud noise while gaming late at night—and explain that it disturbs your family. You also make a request, but it is mainly to move your accommodation, rather than clearly asking the agency to address the neighbour’s behaviour. The timing is only partly explained: “last few days” refers to when you moved in, but it does not clearly state when the noise began. The letter also introduces unclear details about promises and your attempts to speak with the neighbour, so the main points are not fully developed. To strengthen the response, state when the gaming started, describe a specific effect such as lost sleep, and request a clear action, such as contacting the neighbour or enforcing quiet hours.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0
There is some organisation: you introduce the complaint, add details about the neighbour and your family’s disturbance, and finish with a request. Linking expressions such as “However,” “Furthermore,” and “Therefore” show an effort to connect ideas. However, the progression is not consistently clear. For example, the shift from “I shifted their last few days” to the agency’s promise and then to your conversation with the neighbours is difficult to follow, and “Furthermore” is repeated without always adding a clearly connected point. The all-capital presentation also makes the letter harder to read. Use separate paragraphs for the problem, its effects, and your requested action, and make each transition express the relationship between ideas accurately.
Lexical Resource: Band 4.5
You use some vocabulary relevant to the situation, including “loud noises,” “disturbed,” “complaint,” and “accommodation.” However, the range is limited and several spelling, word-choice, and collocation errors make parts of the message difficult to understand, such as “quite climate,” “crowd thier,” and “give a room on rent.” Some phrases also do not fit the formal purpose of a letter to an agency, particularly “your loving paying guest.” Choose standard expressions for noise complaints and accommodation requests, and check spelling carefully. More precise wording would help you explain the late-night gaming and its effects without relying on vague phrases such as “peace environment.”
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and longer sentences, using structures such as “However they look innocent but…” and “if it can be possible…”. This shows an effort to connect ideas, but complex sentences are often faulty, and errors sometimes make the meaning unclear. For instance, “I shifted their last few days” does not express the intended time and action clearly, while “they couldn’t ready to stop it” has an incorrect verb construction. There are also problems with articles, agreement, and sentence boundaries, as in “they play game” and “my family is very disturbed from them behaviour.” Practise building accurate short sentences first, then combine them with clear conjunctions and check verb forms and punctuation.
