Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 3.5

The response makes a limited attempt to address the situation, but it does not clearly explain when the neighbour’s gaming noise began. It mentions “Long time” without giving a specific starting point, and the effects are only partly conveyed through references to people who “are sack or study.” The request to the agency is also unclear: the letter refers to a meeting and asks the supervisor to “solve this issue,” but does not state a precise action, such as contacting the neighbour or enforcing quiet hours. The response is 11 words below the required minimum, which further limits the development of the points. To improve, cover each bullet directly and add clear, relevant details.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 4.0

There is some attempt to group related ideas: the response mentions a complaint, a meeting, the effect on families, and a possible outcome. However, the sequence is difficult to follow, and the reader cannot tell clearly what has already happened and what the writer wants the agency to do next. Phrases such as “Now we are meeting” and “we are close this rent House” do not establish a clear progression. The letter also lacks a clear opening and closing, and repeated references to solving the issue do not connect the points effectively. Use separate paragraphs for the problem, its effects, and the requested action, with simple linking phrases such as “Since then” and “Therefore.”

Lexical Resource: Band 4.0

The response uses a small set of basic words related to renting, neighbours, noise, and solving a problem, so the general topic can be recognised. However, vocabulary is often inaccurate or repetitive, and several phrases make the intended meaning hard to understand, including “rent Worden,” “very loudly music,” and “clear voice.” Spelling and word-form problems such as “accomodations” and “disturbince” also reduce clarity. Aim for precise, natural expressions that fit a formal complaint letter, such as “accommodation agency,” “loud video games,” “disrupt my sleep,” and “take action.” Avoid repeating “solve this issue”; explain the specific problem or action instead.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.0

The response attempts to communicate several connected ideas, but sentence structures are mostly simple or incomplete, and errors frequently make relationships between ideas unclear. For example, “i complain to rent Worden his solve this issue create neighbors has used loudly sound” has no clear sentence structure, while “every room ate family has boys father mother who are sack or study” is difficult to interpret. Verb forms, agreement, articles, and punctuation are also inconsistent. To improve, use complete sentences with a clear subject and verb, for example: “I complained to the agency, but the noise has continued.” Practise past tense for when the problem began and present tense for its ongoing effects, and use full stops to separate ideas.
