Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 4.5

The letter is relevant to the agency and explains the main problem: the neighbour has been playing games at night, the noise prevents the family from sleeping, and you ask the agency to resolve the matter. However, the required details are only partly addressed. “From few days” gives an imprecise start time, and the request “resolve this matter” does not say what action you expect, such as contacting the neighbour or enforcing quiet hours. Much of the opening focuses on your possible move, memories of the flat, and praise for the agency, which distracts from the complaint and is not needed for this task. Develop the timeline and make your requested action explicit.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 4.0

The reader can identify the complaint and its effect, but the information is not arranged coherently enough for a clear formal letter. The opening moves from your tenancy to a possible transfer, then to family memories and praise, before introducing the noise. The long paragraph beginning “You know me and my wife” combines work routines, the noise, sleep problems, grandparents, and your conversation with the neighbour, making the progression difficult to follow. Use separate paragraphs for the background and problem, its effects, and the action requested. Basic links such as “unfortunately” and “therefore” are attempted, but the final “Therefore” does not clearly connect to a specific remedy.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.5

You use enough vocabulary to communicate the central issue, including “disturbing,” “can't sleep properly,” and “lower your volume.” There are also attempts at more formal expressions, such as “requesting you” and “resolve this matter.” However, several word choices and collocations are inaccurate or awkward, which limits precision: “move on to the next city” is unclear in this context, and “top of notch” is not the natural expression. Spelling errors such as “childern,” “torelate,” and “noice” are noticeable. Choose precise complaint-related language and check spelling; for example, state that the noise has disrupted your sleep and ask the agency to contact the neighbour.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

The response attempts some longer sentences and gives a generally understandable account, but control is inconsistent. Errors in verb forms and agreement appear in “I'm living in your flat since 2020” and “my transfer orders has issued”; these should use an appropriate present-perfect form and correct agreement. The sentence beginning “Me and my family” also has problems with subject form and agreement, while “when we reached home” shifts tense within a description of a routine. Several ideas are joined into very long sentences without clear punctuation, especially in the paragraph about the family and the noise. Use shorter, complete sentences and check tense, agreement, and sentence boundaries.
