Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 3.5

The letter identifies a noise problem and asks the agency to act, so its purpose is partly clear. However, it does not adequately address all three required points: it never clearly says when the problem began, and the effect on you is only briefly suggested by saying you return from work tired. The request to ban loud speakers and impose a fine is relevant, but it would be more effective to ask the agency to contact the neighbour and ensure quiet hours. The opening also includes copied task wording, and the response is 143 words, below the 150-word minimum; this leaves little room to explain the situation fully. Develop each bullet point with specific details.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 4.0

There is a basic attempt to organise the letter, moving from the problem to its effects and then to a request. The paragraph breaks and phrases such as “In Conclusion” help signal this structure. However, progression is difficult to follow because some sentences are incomplete or unclear, and the opening repeats information from the prompt rather than establishing the letter’s purpose. Connections between ideas are also weak: for example, “often I can back to home on my work” does not clearly explain how the noise affects you. Use a clear sequence—when the noise started, its impact, and the action requested—and connect each point with straightforward, accurate linking phrases.

Lexical Resource: Band 4.5

The response uses some relevant vocabulary, including “loud speaker,” “noise,” “fine,” and “late at night,” which makes the general subject recognisable. There are also attempts to describe the neighbour’s behaviour and make a formal request. However, spelling errors such as “nieghbour,” “disturbanc,” and “peoles,” along with inaccurate or unnatural phrases such as “a alot of disturbanc” and “banned of loud speaker,” make the wording imprecise and sometimes difficult to understand. Build a more accurate set of phrases for this situation, such as “excessive noise,” “keep me awake,” and “take appropriate action.” Check spelling and word forms carefully before submitting.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5

The letter attempts both simple statements and longer sentences, for example, “I can request you, please solve my problem,” and a sentence describing your return from work. However, control of sentence structure and verb forms is weak: “they are lived five boys” and “daily the can make a noise” do not form accurate sentences, while “I can hope youi are well doing” is difficult to interpret. Articles, agreement, and punctuation also need attention, as in “a banned of loud speaker.” These errors frequently obscure the intended meaning. Practise clear present and past forms, such as “Five boys live in the flat” and “The noise began…,” and use complete sentences with accurate subject–verb agreement.
