Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.5

The letter addresses all three required points: you identify the problem as late-night video-game noise, say it began “from last week,” explain that it disrupts your sleep and may affect your health and work, and ask the agency to speak to the neighbour and request a lower volume. These details make the purpose clear and relevant. The impact on your daily life is particularly useful, though the possible effects on health and work could be explained more specifically. The request is also somewhat general; you could state what action you expect if the neighbour does not cooperate. The opening “Dear Sir” does not follow the supplied greeting, and a more consistently formal tone would strengthen the letter.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0

The information is arranged in a generally coherent order: you introduce the issue, explain your attempts to resolve it and when it began, describe its effects, then make a request. Paragraph breaks help distinguish these stages. However, some connections are awkward or unclear, such as “After many request made by me to him but he didnot respond,” which makes the sequence of events harder to follow. The long sentence about your early working hours and the effects of lost sleep would be clearer if divided into shorter sentences. The final request and sign-off also need clearer separation and more conventional formatting. Use linking phrases selectively and make each paragraph focus on one main purpose.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use enough topic-related vocabulary to communicate the complaint, including “loud sound,” “late hours,” “peaceful sleep,” and “lower the volume.” However, the range is limited, and several word choices or collocations are unnatural or imprecise, such as “want your attention in a matter,” “acts something strange,” and “talk to you regarding this.” Spelling errors, including “distrub,” “morining,” and “neigbhours,” also make the writing less polished and can slow the reader. Aim for precise, formal phrases suited to a complaint letter, and proofread carefully for spelling. For example, describe the noise as “excessive” and say that it “is disturbing my sleep.”

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

The letter attempts both simple and more extended sentence forms, and the main message remains understandable. However, errors in verb forms, agreement, articles, and sentence construction are frequent enough to affect clarity. Examples include “one of your client,” “This problem begins from last week,” and “I can not getting peaceful sleep”; these need plural agreement, an appropriate past-tense construction, and a correctly formed verb phrase. Capitalisation and punctuation are also inconsistent, particularly in “he is playing” after a full stop and in the final request. Practise accurate past and present forms and build longer sentences from correctly controlled clauses. Breaking the sentence about sleep, health, and work into two sentences would also reduce grammatical strain.
