Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0

You address the three requested points: you say the noise has been happening for two months, explain that it disrupts your studying and sleep, and ask the agency to investigate and take action. These details make the purpose of the letter clear. However, the request is quite general; you could specify a practical step, such as contacting the neighbour and asking them to keep the volume down at night. The effect on you is also only briefly described, so explaining how the disrupted sleep affects your daily routine would develop the point. The response is 13 words below the required minimum, so it needs more detail to meet the task fully.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0

The letter follows a generally sensible order: it introduces the complaint, describes the noise and its effects, then makes a request. Paragraph breaks help separate these stages, and phrases such as “In addition to this” signal a further effect. Some connections are less smooth, however. “As their apartment located right side of mine” is an incomplete sentence, and the next sentence begins abruptly with “from last two months.” The closing also repeats the same idea in “I hope to hear back from you soon” and “hoping for your prompt reply.” Organise the information into complete, clearly linked sentences and use one concise closing request to make the progression more natural.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use enough relevant vocabulary to communicate the complaint, including “high volume,” “distract,” “sleeping cycle,” and “investigate this matter.” However, the range is limited and several spelling or word-choice errors make the letter less polished: “latter” is used instead of “letter,” “noice” instead of “noise,” and “probelm” instead of “problem.” Some phrases are also unnatural, such as “shouting sound system” and “reach out on my same email address.” Choose more precise expressions, for example “loud gaming noise” and “contact me at this email address.” Careful proofreading and a wider range of complaint-related vocabulary would improve clarity and appropriacy.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

The response includes mostly simple sentence patterns and attempts to combine ideas, as in “this kind of noise distract me from my study and sleeping as well.” Some grammatical errors are noticeable, though the main message remains understandable. For example, “As their apartment located right side of mine” lacks a verb and needs a complete clause, while “My sleeping cycle has been change” has an incorrect verb form. There are also issues with sentence boundaries and capitalisation, such as “from last two months” after a full stop and “if you need” beginning with a lowercase letter. Practise complete clauses, past and present-perfect forms, and accurate punctuation while varying sentence structures.
