Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
You address all three required points: you say the noise began “since last week,” explain that it disrupts your sleep and rest after work, and ask the agency to issue a warning and request daytime gaming. These details make the purpose clear and relevant. The impact on your health is mentioned but remains vague, and the effect on your upcoming study plans could be explained more directly. The opening also says you rented the flat “Last month,” which may distract from the main issue because the task does not ask for this background. To strengthen the letter, develop the consequences more specifically and state clearly what action or follow-up you expect from the agency.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
The letter follows a broadly sensible order: it introduces the complaint, describes its effects, and then requests action. The closing is also appropriate. However, most of the information is packed into two long paragraphs, and the transition to your friends’ visit and exams is abrupt. Some links are repetitive or unclear, particularly “because” and “so” in the opening paragraph, while “Also” does not fully show how the study plans relate to the noise complaint. Use separate paragraphs for the problem and its effects, then the requested action, and connect each point explicitly. This would make the progression easier to follow without changing your relevant content.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use enough topic-related vocabulary to communicate the complaint, including “video games,” “noise,” “health issues,” and “warning letter.” However, the range is limited and several word choices or collocations sound unnatural, such as “noise pollution,” “affects me in various types,” and “take some serious steps.” Spelling errors such as “renetd,” “falt,” “havr,” and “becuase” also make the writing less polished and can slow the reader. Aim for precise phrases that fit a formal complaint, and proofread carefully. For example, describe the noise as “disruptive” and explain that it “prevents me from sleeping” rather than using vague wording.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and more complex sentences, for example by linking the noise to its effects with “because” and explaining your request with “so.” The main message remains understandable, but some sentence structures are difficult to control. The opening sentence beginning “However i have good relationship with you” is awkwardly constructed, and the long sentence about work, health, and rest joins several ideas without clear punctuation. There are also errors in tense and agreement, as in “has been playing … which cause noise,” and missing articles in phrases such as “have good relationship.” Use shorter, complete sentences where several points are being combined, and check subject–verb agreement, articles, and punctuation.
