Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
You identify the central issue—late-night video-game noise—and explain when it began (“Since last two weeks”), how it affects your studies and family, and what you want the agency to do (“give some notice” and “take serious action”). These points address the task, but several are only briefly stated: the effects on your mother and the baby are not explained in much detail, and the requested action could be more specific, such as asking the agency to contact the neighbour and enforce quiet hours. The letter is also 15 words below the required minimum, which limits how fully you can develop the points. Add a little detail while keeping the focus on the agency and the noise problem.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The letter has a recognisable structure: you introduce the complaint, list its effects, and finish with a request. Sequencing words such as “Firstly,” “Second one,” and “Lastly” help the reader follow the examples, and the closing is appropriate in purpose. However, the progression is somewhat mechanical, and the list of affected family members is not linked smoothly to the main complaint. Some references are unclear, particularly “I already talked to them,” because the reader must infer that “them” means the neighbour. Use clearer links between the problem, its consequences, and your requested action, and divide the information into paragraphs with a more deliberate progression.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use enough basic vocabulary to communicate the main complaint, including “noise,” “study,” “sleep,” and “serious action.” However, the range is limited and some choices are inaccurate or unnatural, which makes parts of the letter less clear. For example, “infrom my problem” does not express the intended meaning naturally, while “give some notice to them” is vague about what the agency should do. There are also noticeable spelling errors, including “fouse” and “Sincerley.” Aim for precise complaint-letter phrases such as “report a noise disturbance,” “contact the tenant,” and “take appropriate action.” Check spelling and collocations before submitting.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
Most of the letter uses short, simple statements, and the reader can generally understand the main message. There is an attempt to connect ideas, for example in “my mom faced some health problem because of video games noise,” but sentence structures remain limited and errors are frequent enough to affect clarity. Examples include “Since last two weeks I faced this problem,” “I am student,” and “my sister in law have a small baby,” where tense, articles, or subject–verb agreement need attention. Punctuation and spacing are also inconsistent, as in “noise . Firstly ,”. Practise accurate past and present forms, articles, and agreement, then combine related ideas into clear sentences.
