Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 4.5

You identify the central issue—your neighbour’s loud gaming and other noise—and explain that it is affecting your ability to study before final exams. You also ask the agency to address the problem, so the main purpose is apparent. However, the task is only partially addressed: the beginning of the problem is not stated, and the request is vague in “do clear myn problem.” The letter also shifts into details about friends, television, music and your conversation with the neighbour without clearly explaining when the disturbance occurs or how regularly it happens. To make the request complete, specify when the noise started and ask the agency to contact the neighbour or enforce quiet hours.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5

The response has a recognisable sequence: it introduces a complaint, describes the noise, explains its effect on your studies, and ends with a request and closing. This gives the reader a basic sense of the message. However, the ideas are crowded together, and the progression is sometimes difficult to follow. For example, “Where ever, i opend my door” does not clearly connect to the noise complaint, while the long list of activities in the neighbour’s home is not separated into clear points. Paragraphing is limited, and linking words such as “Actually” do not always show the relationship between ideas. Use short paragraphs for the problem, its impact, and the action requested, with clear transitions between them.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use enough relevant vocabulary to communicate the general problem, including “disturbance,” “volume,” “speakers,” “concentrate,” and “exams.” These words help establish the situation and its effect. However, the range is limited and several word choices or spellings make the message less clear or less appropriate for a formal complaint. Phrases such as “complaint letter from neighbour,” “do clear myn problem,” and “look after my problems” are not natural ways to express your meaning. There are also noticeable spelling errors, including “repiled,” “fainal,” and “consedring.” Build a more precise set of phrases for noise complaints, such as “persistent late-night noise” and “take appropriate action,” and check spelling carefully.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt some longer sentences and give details about the neighbour’s behaviour and its effect on your studies. However, sentence structures are often faulty, and errors can make the relationships between ideas difficult to understand. For instance, “I am writing a complaint letter from neighbour of my accommodation place” has an unclear grammatical structure, while “I spoken with them” uses an incorrect verb form. Capitalisation and punctuation are also inconsistent, as in “Where ,i am living right now” and “Actually NExt month.” Use straightforward, complete sentences first, checking subject–verb structure and verb tense—for example, “I spoke to them, but they said they did not care.” Then add more complex sentences only when you can control their grammar.
