Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.5

You address all three required points: you say the problem began “about two weeks ago,” explain that it disrupts your sleep and study, and ask the agency to contact the owner and have the neighbour reduce the volume at night. The reason your sleep is especially important—your early starts and shift work as a registered nurse—adds relevant detail. The request is clear, although the account of what you have already done (“i told many times”) and the action you want the agency to take could be explained more precisely. The letter is appropriately formal overall, but the opening “Dear Sir” does not follow the supplied greeting; use “Dear Sir or Madam.”

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5

The letter follows a sensible overall sequence: it introduces the complaint, describes its duration and effects, then makes a request and closes politely. Paragraph breaks help distinguish these stages. Some links between ideas are present, including “furthermore,” but cohesion is not always smooth: the second paragraph combines the start of the problem, previous complaints, and the neighbour’s behaviour in a crowded sequence. The effects paragraph also joins several points with commas, making their relationship harder to follow. Use clearer sentence boundaries and connect each paragraph’s ideas in a more controlled way. The final paragraph repeats the request for action after already asking the agency to raise the complaint, so a more concise closing would improve progression.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use vocabulary relevant to a formal complaint, such as “complain,” “noise,” “reduce the volume,” and “further action,” and the reader can identify the main issue. However, the range is limited and several spelling and word-choice errors make parts difficult to understand, including “accomdation,” “copereate,” “distrubance,” and “coperation.” Some phrases are also unnatural, such as “too much effect of my life” and “raise the complain.” Aim for accurate, natural collocations and check spelling carefully. More precise expressions such as “disrupts my sleep” and “submit a formal complaint” would communicate your meaning more clearly while maintaining an appropriate tone.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt to explain causes and consequences using longer sentences, for example, linking your shift duties to the effect of the noise. However, sentence structures are limited, and attempts to combine several ideas often produce faulty sentences. In “This problem started about two weeks ago, i told many times,” the clauses need a clearer grammatical connection, and “This noise too much effect of my life” is missing a verb structure. There are also recurring issues with capitalisation, articles, and punctuation, such as lowercase “i” and comma splices. Practise writing shorter, complete sentences first, then combine related ideas with accurate conjunctions and verb forms.
