You do NOT need to write any addresses.
Begin your letter as follows:
Dear Sir or Madam,
Student answer (Band 6.5)
Dear Sir,
I am writing this letter to inform you about the problem of noise at night from neighbour’s flat. I have been living in this accommodation since February, however, I never face this situation. Since last week they started playing video games which create nuisance at night.
Being an adaptive person, I tried to adjust for first few day but, situation is more worse now. Having a family with two children, it is complicated for us to sleep at night after working for longer hours. As we are early birds, for better sleep we always try to go to bed around 10 pm. Unfortunately, due to unwanted noise from neighbour’s apartment we face difficulties to make it.
Although it is unprofessional to disturb someone at night, it would be appreciated if you discussed with them about the concern.
I hope you will take appropriate steps to solve this issue.
Yours Sincerely,
Nikhil.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 7.0
The letter addresses all three required points: it identifies the problem as beginning “Since last week,” explains that the noise makes it difficult for your family to sleep, and asks the agency to discuss the concern with the neighbour. The request is clear and appropriately directed to the agency, while the details about your children and 10 pm bedtime help explain the impact. To make the response more fully developed, specify what action you would expect if a conversation does not resolve the issue, such as enforcing quiet hours or following up with you. The opening “Dear Sir” also does not follow the supplied “Dear Sir or Madam” wording, so use the requested form for a more suitable formal letter.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 7.0
The information follows a clear progression: you introduce the noise, describe its effect on your household, and then make a request. Paragraphing supports this sequence, and linking expressions such as “however,” “Unfortunately,” and “Although” help connect ideas. The reader can follow the complaint without difficulty. Some connections are less smooth, however: “however” contrasts with the fact that you had not faced the problem before, but the relationship could be expressed more directly. The final two sentences also repeat the idea of asking the agency to act. A more specific closing request, followed by a brief expression of thanks, would make the ending more purposeful and cohesive.
Lexical Resource: Band 6.0
You use an adequate range of vocabulary for a formal complaint, including “nuisance,” “appropriate steps,” and “difficulties,” and the meaning remains clear. There are also attempts at less common or formal expressions, but some are inaccurate or unnatural in context: “Being an adaptive person” does not naturally convey that you tried to tolerate the noise, and “more worse” is not a correct comparative form. “Unprofessional” is also not the most precise description of a neighbour’s behaviour. Choose familiar, accurate collocations rather than forcing formal wording; this will make the complaint sound more natural and precise. The vocabulary errors do not prevent the reader from understanding your concern.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 6.0
The letter includes a mix of simple and complex structures, such as “Having a family with two children…” and the conditional request “it would be appreciated if you discussed…”. These allow you to explain circumstances and make a polite request. Some grammatical errors remain, though they rarely obscure the message. For example, “I never face this situation” needs a past-tense form to match the time reference, and “for first few day” needs an article and plural noun. In “it is complicated for us to sleep,” the structure is understandable but not well controlled for the intended meaning. Review tense consistency, articles, plurals, and comparative forms, and proofread punctuation around clauses.
