Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.5

You address all three requested points and maintain a suitably polite, formal purpose. You identify the start of the problem as “just a week ago,” explain its effects on concentration and sleep, and ask the agency to speak to the neighbour or provide another flat. These details make the complaint relevant and actionable. The impact is particularly clear in your explanation that you must wake early and feel tired. To make the response more fully developed, clarify how often the gaming occurs and specify the late-night hours. The request for an alternative flat could also be framed as a secondary option if speaking to the neighbour does not resolve the issue.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0

The letter follows a sensible overall order: you introduce the complaint, describe its onset and effects, then make a request and close politely. This gives the reader a coherent account. However, the main body is presented as one long paragraph, and several ideas run together, especially the sentence beginning “due to loud noise.” This makes the relationship between your work, sleep, and early commute less clear. The opening also shifts abruptly from saying the flat is good to describing the neighbour’s behaviour. Use separate paragraphs for the background and impact, then the requested action, and connect the effects with clear transitions such as “As a result” or “Consequently.”

Lexical Resource: Band 5.5

You use relevant vocabulary to communicate the complaint, including “loud sound,” “concentrate,” “sleep cycle,” and “solve this problem.” The reader can understand the central issue, but the range is limited and some choices or collocations are inaccurate, such as “express my problems in your accommodation” and “plays … at late night.” Spelling errors, including “accomodation,” “neighour,” and “appericiate,” also reduce accuracy and polish. Aim for more precise complaint language and check spelling carefully. For example, you could describe “excessive noise from late-night gaming” and say it “disrupts my sleep” rather than using the less natural phrase “spoil my sleep cycle.”

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt to combine ideas and give reasons, for example by linking the noise to your work and early start, but the response relies heavily on long, loosely joined sentences. Some errors make the relationships between ideas difficult to follow. Examples include “The problem is started just a week ago,” “one of my neighbour play,” and “I need to wake up early … because my office is 1 hours drive.” These involve tense, agreement, articles, and sentence construction. Use shorter sentences and check that each has a clear subject and verb. For instance: “The problem began a week ago. The noise makes it difficult to concentrate on my work and disrupts my sleep.”
