Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.5

You address all three required points: you say the problem began “few weeks ago,” explain that the late-night gaming disturbs your rest and affects your elderly parents, and ask the agency to speak to the neighbours. The letter’s purpose is clear, and the concern about stress gives the impact some personal detail. However, the timing could be more precise, and the effects on your parents are asserted rather than explained. Your requested action is also somewhat unclear: “aware them” and “say them to control” do not specify whether you want a warning, an investigation, or another practical step. This covers the task well overall, with some points less fully developed; clearer detail and a more specific request would strengthen it further.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0

The letter follows a sensible overall order: it introduces the complaint, describes the noise and its effects, then asks the agency to act. Paragraphing separates the main stages, and phrases such as “due that continue problem” attempt to connect cause and consequence. However, some links are awkward or unclear, including “although” before the point about your parents and “or otherwise” in the request. The long middle paragraph also combines the start of the problem, your work schedule, your parents’ health, and your stress without clear sentence boundaries. Use simpler, more accurate transitions and separate the impact into a distinct paragraph to make the progression easier to follow.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.5

You use relevant vocabulary for a complaint, including “disturbing,” “impact on their health,” “stress,” and “reputation,” so the reader can understand the main concern. There is also an attempt to express the issue formally through phrases such as “kindly pay attention.” However, several word choices and collocations are inaccurate or unnatural, for example “inform about problem,” “unrestness,” and “control their that habit.” Spelling and word-form errors such as “ortherwise” and “faithfull” also reduce precision. Build a more reliable set of formal complaint phrases and check spelling and collocations; this would make your vocabulary more accurate and natural while retaining the relevant range already shown.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and more extended sentences, including a cause-and-effect explanation of how the noise affects your household. However, control of sentence structure and basic forms is inconsistent, and several errors make parts of the letter difficult to read. Examples include “the problem begin few weeks ago,” “my neighbours … playing video games,” and “my parents are also aged it have impact,” where verb forms, sentence boundaries, and agreement need correction. Articles and prepositions are also often missing, as in “renting a apartment” and “due that continue problem.” Practise accurate past and present verb forms, complete clauses, and punctuation. Shorter, well-formed sentences would help you communicate these ideas more clearly.
