Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
You address all three requested points: you identify the problem as beginning “from last 10 days,” explain that the noise prevents you from sleeping after work, and ask the agency to speak to the neighbour or send a written note. These details make the purpose of the letter clear. Some points are less fully developed, however. The opening spends considerable space praising the building and its location, while the effect on your daily life could be explained more specifically. Also, the task concerns loud video games, but you describe the neighbour as playing “loud music,” which makes the nature of the complaint less precise. Clarify that the gaming sounds are disturbing you and state a clear outcome, such as asking the neighbour to keep the volume down late at night.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The letter has a recognisable structure, moving from an introduction to the complaint and then to a request, and paragraph breaks help separate these stages. Linking expressions such as “however” and “so” also show attempts to connect ideas. At times, though, the progression is weakened by details that do not support the main purpose, particularly the comments about the building’s price, cleanliness, transport and food places. Some connections are unclear: “As you know from my employment history” does not explain how the agency’s knowledge relates to the complaint, and “this person repeating this same thing” is not a smooth reference. Keep the opening brief and organise the main paragraph around when the noise occurs and its effects, followed by a direct request.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use enough vocabulary to communicate the main complaint, including “serious problem,” “cooperate,” “written note” and “seriousness of the matter.” However, several spelling errors and imprecise word choices make the letter less clear or natural, such as “tannet,” “tranport,” “suit 3” and “repeting.” “Loud music” is also not an accurate description of the task’s video-game noise. Some phrases are awkward for a formal complaint, including “I am not tolerating him” and “at the good spot.” Choose precise terms and check spelling, especially for key details. More natural expressions such as “the tenant in Suite 3” and “the noise is disrupting my sleep” would make your meaning clearer and the tone more appropriate.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and longer sentence forms, for example, “I came home to take some good sleep, however this person…” This shows an effort to explain the situation and its effect. Some grammatical errors remain, particularly in articles, verb forms, tense and sentence boundaries. For instance, “I have access the public tranport” needs a different verb construction, while “I could not sleep in the noise” would be clearer as “I cannot sleep because of the noise.” The opening sentence also joins several ideas without clear punctuation, and “I am your new tenant … as I started renting” is not well formed. Use shorter, complete sentences where needed, and check that verb forms and punctuation make the relationships between ideas clear.
