On 20th October, at eleven past ten, we heard a loud video game noises and a group of people were screaming and the voice came straight through the wall the adjoins our house. I went to knock the door of Mr. Sarah's house, and pleasing to lower the volume but unfortunately, after 20 minutes they raised the volume back.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.5

You address all three requested points: you identify when the noise began, explain its effect on your sleep and household routine, and ask the agency to introduce rules. The specific details—such as the noise starting at 10:11 p.m. and continuing for five days—make the complaint relevant and credible. The impact on your parents and your own work is also clear. However, the request is somewhat general: rather than asking only for block-wide rules, explain that you want the agency to contact the neighbour directly and ensure the existing quiet-hours policy is followed. Some details, such as the neighbour’s response after you knocked, could also be expressed more clearly. The letter covers the task well, but not every idea is equally developed.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5

The letter has a clear overall sequence: you introduce the complaint, describe the incident, explain its continuing effects, and make a request. Paragraphing helps distinguish these stages, and time references such as “On 20th October” and “Yesterday” support the account. Some connections are less smooth, however. The second paragraph combines the noise, your visit to the neighbour, and their later behaviour in a long sentence, making the sequence harder to follow. The shift from the first incident to “now it has been 5 days” could be signposted more clearly. Use shorter sentences for separate events and clearer links such as “Since then” or “Despite this,” while keeping the logical progression already present.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.5

You use relevant vocabulary to communicate the complaint, including “unbearable,” “serious issues,” “sleep schedule,” and “nuisance.” These choices show an attempt to describe both the noise and its consequences. However, several phrases are unnatural or imprecise, such as “plays unbearable noise,” “the voice came straight through the wall,” and “assign some strict rules.” “Senior citizens” is also an awkward way to refer to your parents in this context. These word-choice and collocation problems sometimes make the reader pause, although the main meaning remains understandable. Aim for natural complaint-letter expressions and precise terms for the agency’s action, such as asking it to contact the tenant or enforce quiet hours.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5

You attempt both simple and more complex sentences, including clauses explaining cause and effect, as in “due to which I an facing serious issues” and “in this way all the rules will be followed.” The overall message is understandable, but some errors in sentence structure, verb forms, agreement, and articles reduce accuracy. For example, “I an facing” should be “I am facing,” while “I went to knock the door … and pleasing to lower the volume” does not form a complete, accurate sequence of actions. In “being a senior citizens they adapt less sleep,” the clause and agreement are also faulty. Build accuracy by checking each sentence for a clear subject and verb, and use shorter sentences when describing events.
