Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0

You address the main situation by saying the neighbour makes noise late at night and explaining that it affects your sleep and studying. You also make a clear request for the agency to intervene, especially when you ask it to “come here and tell him” to reduce the noise. However, the account of when the problem began is unclear: “Last 3 to 4 days” does not explain whether the noise started then or how often it occurs. The effects and requested action are repeated but not developed clearly, and the letter shifts between television and video games. To strengthen the response, state when the disturbance started, describe its impact precisely, and make one specific request, such as contacting the neighbour or enforcing quiet hours.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 3.5

The response contains the three main points—noise, its effect on you, and a request for help—but they are crowded into one long, largely unpunctuated sequence. As a result, the reader has difficulty following the progression from when the problem began to its consequences and your proposed solution. Ideas such as “I cant sleep,” “my heth is not,” and asking the agency to come are repeated without clear links, while references such as “he” and “you” are sometimes difficult to identify. Organise the letter into short paragraphs, use full stops to separate ideas, and connect each point in a clear order. A brief opening, a paragraph describing the problem and its effects, and a final request would improve clarity.

Lexical Resource: Band 4.5

You use some vocabulary relevant to the complaint, including “disturbing,” “loudly,” “sleep,” and “neighbours,” so the general topic can be understood. However, the range is limited and several word choices or spellings make the message difficult to interpret, such as “louness,” “loundess,” “stduding,” and “ethics” where you appear to mean appropriate behaviour. Phrases such as “the voice of tv is very” are incomplete or imprecise, and “my heth is not” does not clearly express the effect on your health. Aim for accurate, natural phrases such as “the noise is disturbing my sleep” and “I am concerned about the effect on my health.” Check spelling and choose words that express each point directly.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5

The letter attempts to communicate several connected ideas, including the neighbour’s behaviour, its effect on you, and a request for action. However, sentence structures are mostly uncontrolled, and errors frequently make relationships between ideas unclear. For example, “Last 3 to 4 days i saw our neighbours is very disturbing me” has problems with tense, agreement, and sentence construction; “when want to stduding book her tv sound” is also difficult to parse. Capitalisation and punctuation are largely absent, and clauses run together, as in the long request beginning “you are our boss.” Practise building short, complete sentences first, then combine them with accurate connectors. For example: “The noise began three or four days ago. It often keeps me awake at night.”
