Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0

You address all three requested points: you say the noise began “from last week,” explain that it prevents you from working properly at home, and ask the agency to resolve the issue or arrange a meeting. The purpose of the letter is clear and the details are relevant. However, some parts are less fully developed than others. The start date is vague, and the request could be more specific—for example, asking the agency to contact the neighbours and remind them of quiet hours. The proposed meeting is understandable, but it is not clear who would attend or how it would solve the late-night noise. Adding those details would make your request more complete and persuasive.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5

The letter has a clear overall arrangement: you introduce the complaint, provide background, describe its effect, and make a request before closing politely. Paragraphing helps the reader follow this progression, and linking phrases such as “First of all” and “Furthermore” signal movement between points. This meets the lower-band expectation of coherent organisation and shows some of the flexibility associated with stronger cohesion. However, “Moreover” is repeated, and several transitions feel mechanical rather than showing a precise relationship between ideas. The sentence about discovering who lives nearby also makes the sequence of events less clear. Use fewer, more purposeful connectors and make the links between the noise, its impact, and your requested action explicit.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.5

You use enough vocabulary to communicate the complaint, its effect, and a possible solution, including “high volume,” “surrounding,” and “solve this problem.” The reader can understand your main points, and you attempt some topic-relevant expressions. However, several word choices and collocations are inaccurate or unnatural, such as “high volume sounds,” “do my work properly,” and “give their opinion.” There are also noticeable spelling errors, including “pieceful,” “reqesting,” and “tenents,” which reduce the accuracy of the message. Aim for more natural phrases used in formal complaints, and check spelling carefully. More precise vocabulary would help you describe the noise and the action you expect from the agency.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5

You attempt both simple and more complex sentences, including a sentence beginning “because” to explain the effect of the noise and a request joined with “or.” The overall meaning remains understandable, which is a strength. Some grammatical errors remain, however. For example, “which really disturbing me” is missing a verb form, and “I noticed from last week high volume sound came” has an unclear tense and word order. In “there is two young guys,” the verb does not agree with the plural subject. The sentence about the neighbours also combines several ideas without clear sentence boundaries. Practise accurate past-tense forms and agreement, and divide longer sentences so each idea is expressed clearly.
