Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.5
You address all three required points: you identify that the noise began last month, explain that it disrupts your grandfather’s sleep and your studies, and ask the agency to intervene by issuing a warning. The request is relevant and your purpose is clear. However, some details are less fully developed: for example, you could specify how often the gaming continues or what practical action you expect if the warning does not work. The opening also spends space praising the accommodation before getting to the complaint, so a more direct explanation would strengthen the letter’s focus. You already provide the essential information and a clear request; fuller, more specific support would make the response more complete.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5
The letter has a coherent overall arrangement: the first paragraph introduces the complaint and its timing, the second describes its effects, and the third requests action. This sequence makes the main message easy to follow, and the closing is appropriate. Some links between ideas are less natural or precise, however. For instance, “whereas nowsdays” does not clearly express the contrast, and “Moreover” introduces the effect on your studies without a smooth connection to the previous point. The request paragraph also combines the request and proposed warning rather abruptly. Use straightforward transitions such as “The noise began last month” and “As a result” to make relationships clearer, and keep each paragraph focused on one function.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use enough topic-related vocabulary to communicate the complaint, including “loud video games,” “late at night,” “warning notice,” and “sleep properly.” The main message remains understandable, but the range is limited and several spelling and word-choice errors are noticeable, such as “accomodation,” “neighnour,” “unforunite,” and “Simplelly.” Some phrases are also unnatural, including “share one problem with you” and “take some steps.” These choices reduce precision and make the letter sound less natural. Build a small set of accurate formal complaint expressions and check spelling carefully; for example, “raise a concern,” “disturbing noise,” and “take appropriate action” would express your meaning more clearly and appropriately.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and more complex sentences, including a sentence beginning “because” and one using “Moreover,” so there is some variety. However, control is inconsistent, and errors in verb forms, sentence structure, agreement, and articles sometimes make the reader pause. Examples include “Everything going good,” “my neighbour play,” “this sound disturb me,” and “It my humble request.” The sentence about your grandfather also shifts from “my grandfather” to “they,” making the reference unclear. Practise forming complete clauses and checking subject–verb agreement and tense: for example, “My neighbour has been playing loud video games late at night” and “The noise disturbs me while I study.” More accurate sentence patterns would improve clarity.
