Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 4.5

You identify the central problem—your neighbour plays loud video games at night—and explain several effects, including disrupted sleep, difficulty completing office work, and feeling low. You also ask the agency to take action and provide another room. However, the letter does not explain when the problem began, which leaves one required point unanswered. The requested action is also somewhat unclear: you ask for strict action and a room change, but do not specify whether you first want the agency to contact the neighbour or investigate the noise. Develop each point more directly and state a clear, practical request to make the response more complete.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5

The response follows a broadly sensible order: it introduces the complaint, describes its effects, and then makes a request. This gives the reader a basic sense of the letter’s purpose. However, most of the content is presented in long, crowded sentences, and the shift from sleep problems to work and health effects is not clearly signposted. Phrases such as “because of that noises” and “by which” do not connect ideas smoothly, while the lack of paragraph breaks makes the main points harder to distinguish. Use separate paragraphs for the problem, its effects, and your requested action, and connect them with straightforward transitions such as “As a result” and “Therefore.”

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use relevant vocabulary to communicate the complaint, including “late at night,” “disturbing,” “sleep,” “presentation work,” and “health.” These choices make the general situation understandable. However, the range is limited and several word choices or spellings make the message less clear or natural, such as “sounds are so scary,” “romaing in my mind,” and “strict action agaist them.” Some expressions are also imprecise: “targeting my sleep” does not naturally describe the effect of noise. Aim for accurate, conventional phrases used in formal complaints, such as “the noise is disrupting my sleep” and “take appropriate action.” Check spelling carefully and avoid repeating “sounds” and “agency” where a more precise alternative is available.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt to express several connected ideas, including the effects on sleep, work, and health, but the response relies mainly on simple structures and long sentences joined without reliable punctuation. Errors in sentence construction and grammatical forms sometimes make the relationships between ideas difficult to follow. For example, “because of that noises i cant sleep properly by which my office works are incomplete” combines clauses awkwardly, and “i can't focuses on it” has an incorrect verb form after “can’t.” Capitalisation and sentence boundaries are also inconsistent. Practise building shorter, complete sentences first, then combine them with accurate connectors. For instance: “The noise keeps me awake, so I struggle to concentrate on my work the next day.”
