Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0
You identify the main issue, explain that it began when a new neighbour arrived this week, and describe effects on your sleep, health and work. You also ask the agency to take action, so the key points are present. However, the request is vague: “take a strict action” does not specify whether you want the agency to contact the neighbour, remind them of quiet hours, or investigate. The effects are also only briefly stated, and the opening spends space praising the flat’s facilities rather than developing the complaint. The response is 34 words below the required minimum, which limits how fully you can explain the situation and your requested solution. Add specific details and a clear, practical request.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The letter follows a generally understandable order: it introduces the accommodation, explains the neighbour’s behaviour, describes its effects, and ends with a request. Connectors such as “unfortunately” and “apart from that” help show relationships between ideas. However, the opening about the gym, park and shopping centre distracts from the complaint, and the body is presented as one long paragraph rather than clearly separated stages. Some links are awkward or unclear, particularly “due to that” and “its effect my work.” Use separate paragraphs for the background, impact and requested action, and make references such as “this noise” explicit. A more focused progression would make the letter easier to follow.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use some relevant vocabulary for the situation, including “neighbour,” “playing video games,” “sleep properly,” and “prompt response,” so the reader can understand the main complaint. However, the range is limited and several spelling, word-form and collocation errors make the letter less clear or less natural: “dissatisfcation,” “shopping certer,” “in very loud,” and “reslove.” The phrase “strict action” is also not a natural way to describe the agency’s response. Choose precise complaint language and check spelling carefully. For example, you could describe “excessive noise” and ask the agency to “contact the tenant” or “address the disturbance.” These changes would make your request sound clearer and more appropriate for a formal letter.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
The response communicates its basic meaning, but it relies mainly on short, simple sentence patterns and contains frequent grammatical errors. For example, “my health effect” lacks a correct verb form, while “i can not sleep properly” and “i was wake early” show problems with verb construction and tense. The request “I hope agency take” is missing an article and a suitable verb form, and the final lines lack consistent sentence punctuation and capitalization. There is an attempt to connect ideas with “because” and “due to that,” but the structures are not consistently controlled. Practise accurate past-tense descriptions and complete request sentences, such as “I would appreciate it if the agency could contact my neighbour.”
