Student answer (Band 5.5)
This staments shows that the growing number of people with the health problems are trying alternative medicines and treatments instead of visiting their usual doctor.Overall in my point of view it is not good to took medicines by his own. Moreover the doctor has obevisly great information and knoweledged about the deseace. As compare to the others like if we are taking any kind of pills at home. Although one reason is the people often do this just because of they want to save money like if they will not go to the doctor they will save money i think it is wrong. Being a doctor i alway recomend them a good medicines for their safty and health inless payment. However the anotherreason is the folks are not lives in near to the hospital. Thay are lives in away from it as the results they avoid to travell or ,ove from one place to another so they used to get cure by their own. Mostly the people can not hendle the situation they though they can do better as compare to the othe, For example our grandparents they think that we can tackle from any kind of situation, From that they have information about the weeds they want to get cure or treatment through it they though weeds can make us more strong as well as give us strength. From that they have narrow mwntallity they thought that if they would use the medicines they would face more bad diceses like cancer. That doctors are treating worstly their medicines would make us more week.In conc;lusion to consult with a doctor is good, by treaten by itself is not good idea. Must go over there.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0
The response addresses the prompt by discussing the trend of using alternative medicine, but the development of ideas is limited and often repetitive. While you express a clear position that visiting a doctor is preferable, the arguments regarding cost and distance are under-developed. The explanation of why people use alternative medicine (e.g., the mention of grandparents and weeds) is somewhat disjointed and lacks clear logical support. To improve, ensure each paragraph focuses on a single, well-explained reason with a clear example, rather than jumping between points. The conclusion is present but lacks a summary of the main arguments, which is necessary for a more complete response.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5
The essay lacks a clear paragraph structure, as it is presented as a single block of text. This makes it difficult for the reader to follow the progression of your argument. While you attempt to use cohesive devices like 'Moreover', 'Although', and 'However', they are often used incorrectly or placed awkwardly within sentences, such as 'However the anotherreason is'. The lack of paragraphing is a significant issue that hinders the overall flow. To improve, organize your essay into clear paragraphs: an introduction, two body paragraphs for your main points, and a conclusion. This will help structure your ideas more logically.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.5
The vocabulary is quite limited and repetitive, with frequent errors in word choice and spelling that occasionally impede communication. For example, 'deseace' (disease), 'obevisly' (obviously), 'safty' (safety), and 'inless' (unless/less) are misspelled. You also use phrases like 'get cure' and 'treating worstly' which are non-standard. While you attempt to use some topic-related vocabulary, the lack of precision and the high frequency of errors suggest a limited range. To improve, focus on learning the correct spelling and collocations of common academic words and avoid using informal or incorrect phrasing.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
There are frequent grammatical errors throughout the text, including issues with subject-verb agreement ('folks are not lives', 'Thay are lives'), sentence structure, and punctuation. Many sentences are run-on or fragmented, such as 'As compare to the others like if we are taking any kind of pills at home.' The misuse of articles and prepositions is also common. While the meaning is generally understandable, the high density of errors makes the text difficult to read. To improve, focus on basic sentence construction, ensuring every sentence has a clear subject and verb, and practice proofreading for common errors like verb tense consistency.
