Student answer (Band 6.5)
As the research and development is revolutionising our lives it is also creating some problems as well. Those problems can be enviornmental or health issues. To tackle health issues it is argued that now people are adopting alternate modes of treatment which is considered both as negetive and positive development to thesociety. In my point of view it has more positive impact on our society than the negetive ones.
First and one of the the major positive aspect of adopting unusual methods of treatment is that there is less burden to the traditional hospitals. As in most of the developing countries there is lack medical facilities and shortage of medical proffesionals as well on the other hand population is increasing which creates the gap to fulfill the requirments to facilitate everyone.
Secondley, the other major positive aspect to that is when you have too much options that make the things budget friendly. So by adopting other sources of treatment the cost of treatment can be dcreased.
On the other hand this development can also have negetive impacts on the the society as well. For example thee are scientific proven methods of treatment that usualy people go for but if they go for unconventional methods they may be have less proven or may can not cure the disease. Most of the time unorthodox methods are based on personal beieves or personal research which may not be so effective.
In conclusion, as trying alternative medicines and treatments have negetive results i will go for its benifits and strongley believe that adopting altrnate methods of treatment can a good and poistive development to the society.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.5
The response addresses the prompt by discussing both the positive and negative aspects of alternative medicine. You clearly state your position in the introduction and maintain it throughout. However, the development of ideas is somewhat limited. For instance, the point about 'budget-friendly' options is mentioned but not fully explained or supported with specific examples. To reach a higher band, you should expand on your arguments with more detailed reasoning or concrete examples. The conclusion is a bit repetitive, merely restating your position without adding a final thought or summary of the main points.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.5
The essay is organized into clear paragraphs, which helps the reader follow your argument. You use basic cohesive devices like 'First', 'Secondley', and 'On the other hand' to signal transitions. However, the flow between sentences is sometimes mechanical, and the use of cohesive devices is quite limited. Some sentences feel disjointed, and the referencing is occasionally unclear. To improve, try to use a wider variety of linking words and ensure that your ideas within paragraphs are more tightly connected through better use of pronouns and logical transitions.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.0
Your vocabulary is generally adequate for the task, allowing you to express your ideas clearly. You use some relevant terms like 'traditional hospitals', 'unconventional methods', and 'medical professionals'. However, there are several spelling errors throughout the text, such as 'enviornmental', 'negetive', 'proffesionals', 'requirments', 'dcreased', 'beieves', and 'altrnate'. These errors are frequent enough to be noticeable. To improve, focus on proofreading your work for common spelling mistakes and try to incorporate more precise, academic vocabulary to demonstrate a wider range.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.0
You demonstrate a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. While the meaning is generally clear, there are frequent grammatical errors, particularly with articles ('the society', 'the traditional hospitals'), subject-verb agreement, and sentence construction ('there is less burden to the traditional hospitals'). Some sentences are slightly awkward, such as 'there is lack medical facilities'. While these errors do not prevent communication, they occur frequently. To improve, focus on mastering basic sentence patterns and proofreading for small grammatical slips like missing prepositions or incorrect verb forms.
