Student answer (Band 5.0)
In this contemporary society a increasing number of individuals with health issues are using alternative medicines and treatments rather than taking appointments with the specialized doctor. After determining all the facts and deliberating on them. In conclusion will place my perspective.
To commence with, Numerous individuals nowadays do not understand the significance of medicines. Individuals whenever they feel pain in their body either they are ill without consulting with a qualified doctor about their determental condition. They eat medicines on their own. Sometimes these medicines are recommended by their relatives or their closed ones in addition individuals take these pills without even doing specific research. Thereare no advantages of this doing this can only create terrible problems. Taking pills without doctor's prescription can cause significant health issues. Few of them are irreversible. If a person does this usually then with the grasp of time. He may lose his body power of fighting with several diseases and infections. The ratio of these individuals can only be decreased if the government makes a law on medicine that an individual can not purchase or consume medicine without having authorized doctor prescription in addition pharmacies can not sell it without doctor prescription. Just doing is not sufficient government is supposed to educate individuals by telling them how crucial it is in addition what are the consequences of doing it.
In my perspective this is an concerning issue that should be taken seriously by the officials of government. Only government can persuade and make individuals aware about how crucial this is.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 4.0
The response fails to address the core topic of 'alternative medicine'. Instead, the essay focuses exclusively on the dangers of self-medication and the lack of doctor prescriptions. By misinterpreting the prompt, the response does not provide a relevant argument regarding the trend of using alternative treatments (such as herbal medicine, acupuncture, or homeopathy). The position is unclear because the arguments provided do not relate to the prompt's subject matter. To improve, ensure you carefully analyze the key terms in the question before drafting your response.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0
The essay lacks logical progression. The introduction is fragmented, with sentence fragments like 'After determining all the facts and deliberating on them.' Paragraphing is present, but the internal structure of the paragraphs is weak. Cohesive devices are used in a mechanical and often incorrect way, such as 'In addition individuals take these pills' and 'Just doing is not sufficient'. The transition between ideas is often abrupt, making it difficult for the reader to follow the intended argument.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.0
The vocabulary is repetitive and limited. Phrases like 'individuals', 'medicines', and 'doctor' are used repeatedly without variation. There are several errors in word choice and collocation, such as 'determental condition' (detrimental), 'grasp of time' (passage of time), and 'body power' (immune system). The range is insufficient to express complex ideas, and the misuse of words occasionally hinders the clarity of the message.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0
The essay contains frequent grammatical errors that often impede communication. There are issues with article usage ('a increasing number'), subject-verb agreement, and sentence structure. Many sentences are fragments or run-on sentences, such as 'Individuals whenever they feel pain in their body either they are ill without consulting with a qualified doctor about their determental condition.' Punctuation is also inconsistent, particularly with the use of periods in the middle of thoughts. The range of structures is limited to simple sentences with little evidence of complex grammatical control.
