Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 4.0
The response fails to meet the minimum word count requirement of 250 words, reaching only 178 words. This significantly impacts the development of ideas. While you attempt to address the prompt by discussing the risks of avoiding professional medical advice, the argument is underdeveloped and lacks a clear, consistent position on whether this trend is positive or negative. The essay ends abruptly, suggesting an incomplete thought process. To improve, you must expand your arguments with more detailed explanations and ensure you reach the minimum length to allow for a full exploration of the topic.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0
The essay lacks a clear structure. While there are attempts at paragraphing, the transitions between ideas are often abrupt or missing, such as the sudden shift from the introduction to the personal anecdote. Cohesive devices are used sparingly and often incorrectly, for example, 'fisrtly' and 'In few years ago'. The logical flow is frequently interrupted by grammatical errors, making it difficult for the reader to follow the progression of your argument. Improving the use of linking words and ensuring each paragraph has a clear topic sentence would greatly enhance the coherence of your writing.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.0
Your vocabulary is quite limited and repetitive, which restricts your ability to express complex ideas. There are frequent spelling errors, such as 'enviorment', 'occure', 'fiver', and 'antibotics'. Additionally, word choice is often imprecise, such as 'take a serious any health issue' instead of 'take health issues seriously'. To reach a higher band, you should focus on learning collocations and more precise academic vocabulary related to health and medicine, while also paying closer attention to spelling accuracy.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 4.5
The essay contains frequent grammatical errors that often impede communication. There are consistent issues with subject-verb agreement, such as 'some have suffer' and 'she do not bother'. Sentence structure is often fragmented or run-on, and there is a lack of complex sentence forms. Punctuation is also inconsistent, with missing spaces after periods and incorrect capitalization. To improve, you need to focus on basic sentence construction, verb tense consistency, and ensuring that your sentences are complete and grammatically sound before attempting more complex structures.
