Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.0

The response addresses the prompt by discussing the shift toward alternative medicine, but the development is limited. While you state your position in the conclusion, the body paragraphs lack a clear, sustained argument. The example of your grandfather is relevant but lacks sufficient analysis to support your stance effectively. The ideas are somewhat repetitive, and the response would benefit from more depth regarding why this trend is positive or negative. To improve, ensure each paragraph has a clear topic sentence and that your arguments are fully explained rather than just stated.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0

The essay is organised into paragraphs, which is a positive step. However, the use of cohesive devices is often mechanical or inaccurate, such as 'To Elaborate it' and 'otherside people'. The logical flow between sentences is frequently disrupted by grammatical errors, making it difficult for the reader to follow your train of thought. Referencing is sometimes unclear, particularly in the second paragraph where the subject of the sentences shifts abruptly. Improving the use of linking words like 'consequently', 'furthermore', or 'however' would help create a smoother progression of ideas.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.0

The vocabulary is limited and often inaccurate, which occasionally impedes communication. There are frequent errors in word choice, such as 'health diseases' instead of 'health problems', 'similars medicines' instead of 'alternative medicines', and 'opreations' instead of 'treatments'. Spelling errors are also prevalent throughout the text (e.g., 'tadays', 'accidend', 'suger', 'tecehnology'). To reach a higher band, you need to focus on using more precise vocabulary related to the topic and ensuring correct spelling and collocations.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 4.5

The grammar is the weakest area of this response. There are frequent errors in basic sentence structure, subject-verb agreement (e.g., 'many people thinks'), and article usage. The sentence structures are mostly simple, and attempts at complex sentences often contain errors that make the meaning unclear, such as 'In conculsion, the easy written about for the problems we faced in every day life.' Punctuation is also inconsistent. To improve, focus on mastering basic sentence construction and subject-verb agreement before attempting more complex structures.
