Student answer (Band 5.0)

In today's world, people with health problems are trying alternative medicines and treatments instead of visiting their usual doctor is an increasingly prevalent issue that impact various aspect of our daily life's.It is presented for the discussion that people are using medicines and treatments for their health problems by their own without discussing with their doctors.

From my standpoint, it is the negative development happening in world. There are the numerous reasons for that. If we used the medicines and treatments by our own without concerning with their specific doctors we have to face side effects of their medicines and treatments which can cause many diseases. For instance, many people used panadol for any reason if they facing headache, flue, throat issue , body pain etc instead of using medicines which are make specifically for them and later can cause many problems like kidney failure, cancer , heart attack etc.

Secondly, the scope of the doctors and their need will be fall because people are becoming doctors by their own self and did not visit their usual doctors. A doctor have taken all the education after studying many years therefor, they have more knowledge than us. Also they had done their practice for years. Now, artificial intelligence decrease the need of all professions.

In my opinion, this suggestion is not only timely but also hold significant potential benefits.

In conclusion, people with health problems trying medicine and treatment instead of visiting their doctors has become a commonly witnessed phenomenon among people these days, In my prespective forms they close their observation for trend I find my self surround my more merits

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5

The response addresses the prompt by taking a clear position that the trend is negative. However, the development of ideas is inconsistent. While the first body paragraph provides a relevant example regarding the misuse of medication, the second paragraph is somewhat disjointed, mentioning artificial intelligence, which is not directly relevant to the core issue of alternative medicine. Furthermore, the conclusion contradicts the earlier stance by stating the trend has 'significant potential benefits,' which confuses the reader regarding your actual position. To improve, ensure your arguments remain focused on the prompt throughout and that your conclusion consistently reflects your stated position.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0

The essay is organized into paragraphs, but the logical progression is frequently interrupted by unclear phrasing and abrupt transitions. While some cohesive devices like 'Secondly' and 'In conclusion' are used, the internal structure of sentences is often confusing, making it difficult to follow the flow of ideas. For instance, the final sentence is grammatically fragmented and lacks a clear connection to the preceding argument. To improve, focus on using linking words more effectively to connect ideas within sentences and ensure that each paragraph has a clear, singular focus that supports your main argument.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.0

The vocabulary is generally limited and repetitive. There are several instances of awkward word choices and collocations, such as 'scope of the doctors... will be fall' and 'surround my more merits.' These errors occasionally impede the clarity of your message. You rely on basic vocabulary and struggle to express more complex ideas precisely. To reach a higher band, try to incorporate more academic collocations and precise terminology related to health and medical practice. Avoid translating directly from your native language, as this often leads to unnatural phrasing.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0

The essay contains frequent grammatical errors that affect readability. There are consistent issues with subject-verb agreement (e.g., 'a doctor have taken'), incorrect verb tenses, and pluralization (e.g., 'life's'). Sentence structures are often simple or incorrectly constructed, leading to run-on sentences and fragments. Punctuation is also inconsistent, particularly with comma usage. While you attempt some complex structures, they are often inaccurate. To improve, focus on mastering basic sentence construction, specifically subject-verb agreement and correct tense usage, before attempting more complex grammatical structures.
