Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.0

The response addresses the prompt by discussing both the positive and negative aspects of people turning to alternative medicines and AI-driven health solutions instead of doctors. However, the position is somewhat confusingly stated in the introduction, where the writer states that 'it should be balance in both views' while also attempting to answer whether it is positive or negative. The ideas presented in the body paragraphs are relevant, mentioning self-awareness and potential time-saving benefits versus the dangers of misinformation and overconfidence. However, these ideas remain somewhat limited and under-developed, with unsupported assertions such as 'Nowadays, people are believing AI more than other people so it is the main reason of some dieases.' Overall, the response meets the basic requirements of addressing all parts of the task, but lacks the extension and clear, consistent position required for higher bands, fitting the Band 5 descriptors well.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0

The essay is divided into an introduction, two body paragraphs, and a conclusion, showing some basic organization. However, the progression of ideas is frequently disrupted by awkward transitions, run-on sentences, and mechanical cohesive devices like 'On the first hand' and 'On the other hand' (where the former is an incorrect collocation). Referencing is occasionally unclear, as seen in the sentence 'Nowadays, people are believing AI more than other people so it is the main reason of some dieases,' where pronouns and causal links lack logical clarity. Paragraphing is attempted, but internal cohesion is faulty and repetitive, which holds the text firmly at a Band 5 level.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.0

The student uses a limited and repetitive range of vocabulary that is only minimally adequate for the task. There are noticeable word-choice errors, such as 'resourses' (resources), 'dieases' (diseases), 'visting' (visiting), and the unnatural phrase 'get end of life' to mean dying or facing fatal consequences. Collocations are frequently awkward, for instance, 'visit doctors in first hand' instead of 'consult a doctor immediately' or 'seek professional help first.' While simple vocabulary is handled adequately, spelling errors ('childern', 'cases') and basic word formations cause some difficulty for the reader, aligning with the criteria for Band 5.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0

The writer attempts a mix of simple and complex sentence forms, but attempts at complex structures are frequently faulty. There are persistent grammatical errors, including subject-verb agreement issues ('visiting doctor are only waste of time', 'childern may suffers', 'it has its own side-effect'), punctuation errors, and comma splices (e.g., joining independent clauses with a comma before 'So many people...'). These frequent errors can cause difficulty for the reader and obscure meaning in places. The range of structures is limited, and the high frequency of basic grammatical slips places this response at a Band 5 for grammar.
