Student answer (Band 5.0)
yes, nowdays this habbit increase by the passing of time. its depnds on the situation of peoples and their lifestly. some people try these remedies because of tight budget and they can not afford go to the doctor. and some have their bief issue. they want to cure their disease with the home remedies because they thinks that thease perscribed medicines have more chemeciles then the home remedies.and there is other possibilty some people have far distance from the clinic thats why they avoid to go to the doctor.
in my opinion this is negative development because we live in the vast era which is full of germs we can not cure disease with home remedies . in my neighbour a mother face his sson death because she wanut the disease of his son with home remedies and also her parents, at the end they lost her son. this world is full of technology and we must fcus on new era , if we not follow the rule of new worlsd , we can not survive there and also we ready for mishapes . we should try new thing with good hope and always ready to face new things for new experince s and always ready to enjoy the world.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.0
The response addresses the prompt by taking a clear stance that relying on alternative medicines is a negative development. However, the ideas are somewhat limited and under-developed, and the response falls significantly short of the 250-word minimum, containing only 210 words. While the student provides reasons such as financial constraints, beliefs about chemicals, and distance from clinics, these points lack deep elaboration. Furthermore, the personal anecdote used to support the negative stance is overly anecdotal and lacks academic depth. Because the length requirement was not met, this places a strict limitation on the task achievement score, resulting in a band 5.0 evaluation.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0
The text is divided into two paragraphs, separating the causes from the author's opinion and supporting example. However, paragraphing is basic, and the logical progression of ideas is hindered by a lack of cohesive devices. Transitions between sentences are abrupt, and referencing is sometimes unclear, as seen in phrases like 'there is other possibilty some people have far distance'. Cohesive devices are largely absent or inadequate, leading to a choppy reading experience. Although the overall intent can be followed, the structural and cohesive weaknesses align best with a band 5.0.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.0
The lexical range is limited and repetitive. The student uses basic vocabulary such as 'habit', 'situation', 'disease', and 'world' repeatedly. There are frequent spelling and word-choice errors throughout the text, including 'nowdays' instead of nowadays, 'habbit', 'depnds', 'lifestly', 'bief' instead of belief, 'thease' instead of these, 'chemeciles', and 'possibilty'. While the intended meaning usually comes across despite these errors, the numerous inaccuracies in word formation and spelling prevent the writing from achieving a higher score. This lexical control reflects a band 5.0 level.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0
The student attempts a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but control over grammar and punctuation is weak. There are frequent punctuation errors, such as missing capital letters at the beginning of sentences and after periods, as well as missing commas. Sentences often run together or lack proper subordination, exemplified by clauses like 'she wanut the disease of his son with home remedies' and 'if we not follow the rule of new worlsd , we can not survive there and also we ready for mishapes'. These errors cause frequent difficulty for the reader and demonstrate a limited range of accurate structures, placing the grammar at a band 5.0.
