Student answer (Band 5.0)
It is often debated whether increasing huge number of people with health concerns are trying other methods od medicines and treatments rather than preferring to visit their usual doctor. In my opinion it gives negative development and it can lead other dangerous life fatal issues as individuals develop home remedies thinking it is a better method to cure disease sometimes it can cause life threat or other problems may develop.
To commence with the primary reason why this trend has positive impact is that health issue which are not a reason for concern like little cough, cold these can be cured through home remedies avoiding visit to a doctor, or any other health concern like backpain in this instead of taking medical dose people prefer visiting a physiotherapist to do treatment without relying on medicines.Even in old ages people have done treatment for many health issues at home with the help of ayurveda plants. This means that it has pros in some cases.
Furthermore, another significant aspect is that patients with heart problems or diabetic patients must need to visit a usual doctor and stop doing any other source for treatments or medications as it might life threaten sometimes amd people miay lose their life depending on alternative method if anything didn't go well.
so its a misconception of not having any negative impact may sometime make people loose their own person.
Consequently, it has deeper negative impact people belief in religious things and not getting treatment is also a big drawback.so society need to be aware of challeneges that can be faced if people avoid certain type of health concerns.Governmnet should implement awareness programmes in hospitals so patient follow them and proper guidance need to be provided by the hospital.
In conclusion, while there might be varied perspectives, i believe that trend of people ignoring their health and following other alternative treatments is harmful and it will have a negative development of areas because life is precious so we need to value it and take care of ourselves in such a way that we must be grateful to have this life as a gift from GOD.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
The student addresses the prompt by taking a clear negative stance on the development of using alternative medicines. They attempt to explore both sides initially, noting that mild issues like coughs or back pain are sometimes treated via natural remedies or physiotherapists, while serious conditions require traditional doctors. However, the development of ideas is somewhat limited and repetitive, particularly regarding the dangers of alternative medicine. There is also a slight contradiction in the second paragraph where the student states the trend has a positive impact before immediately pivoting back to risks. Overall, the task is addressed, and a position is maintained, placing this performance at a Band 5.5.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0
The essay displays some overall organization with paragraph breaks and basic cohesive markers such as 'To commence with', 'Furthermore', and 'In conclusion'. However, progression is frequently disrupted by awkward phrasing, run-on sentences, and abrupt shifts in thought, as seen in sentences like 'so its a misconception of not having any negative impact may sometime make people loose their own person.' Referencing and substitution are sometimes unclear, and cohesive devices are occasionally mechanical or misused. Paragraphing is attempted, but internal cohesion requires better control to achieve a higher band, making Band 5.0 appropriate.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
The student uses a limited and repetitive range of vocabulary. Phrases like 'health issues', 'alternative treatments', and 'negative impact' are overused. There are noticeable word-choice errors, such as 'life fatal issues', 'medical dose', and 'loose their own person' (likely meaning lose their lives or loved ones). Spelling and word formation errors also appear, such as 'challeneges' and 'Governmnet'. While meaning can generally be deciphered, the vocabulary is minimally adequate for the task, fitting the Band 5.0 descriptors.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
The essay contains a mix of simple and complex sentence forms, but attempts at complex structures frequently result in faulty syntax and punctuation errors. Run-on sentences are common, such as the opening sentence and the concluding remarks, where multiple clauses are joined without proper punctuation or conjunctions. Grammatical errors—such as missing articles ('must need to visit'), subject-verb agreement issues ('patients ... must need'), and incorrect prepositions—frequent the text and occasionally cause difficulty for the reader. This performance aligns with Band 5.0.
