Student answer (Band 5.5)

Nowadays, everyone face many problems related to health. It is argued that some individuals with health problems are trying checkups online rather than visiting doctor or hospitals. I think it has negative effects because it is not a good method to avoid diseases.

To commence with, there are several reasons associated with it. The most prominent point is, saves time. To explain it, most individuals prefer online treatment because it saves traveling time and traveling expenses. Moreover, some individuals do not afford doctors high fess so they go online treatment or for suggestion.

Moving further, there are numerous disagree points. The main point is, no proper checkup. It is not beneficial for individuals who take medicines from online doctors because they do not check patient properly. However, how it is possible to distribute medicine without checkup or tests, some time medicines do not suit patient or it causes allergy. For example, from last year many individuals died with consuming wrong medicines because they order online medicines which are suggested by AI.

On the other hand, there are more disadvantages. The first and foremost point is, some harmful effects. some individuals take medicines online and they consume it without any proper guidence. It caused some allergies for example red eyes, red rashes on body because they consume overdose and sometime it causes death of the person. Therefore, doctors provide medicines after all checkups or tests and give medicines according to person ability which suits on person.

In conclusion, after taking all aspects into my consideration,I would like to emphasize that some individuals choose online dictores because they do not afford doctors and hospitals high fees. Some negative points like no proper checkups or sometime individuals faces many problems and allergies.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0

The response addresses the prompt by discussing the negative development of turning to alternative online medical advice and AI-suggested treatments instead of visiting a doctor. A clear position is established early in the introduction: 'I think it has negative effects because it is not a good method to avoid diseases.' The body paragraphs provide relevant arguments, such as saving time and money versus the severe risks of misdiagnosis, lack of proper physical examinations, and dangerous side effects or allergies caused by unregulated online or AI recommendations. While the ideas are relevant, some points are repetitive and under-developed, particularly regarding financial constraints, which are mentioned multiple times without deep extension. Nevertheless, all parts of the prompt are addressed, fulfilling the requirements for Band 6.0.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5

The response demonstrates a coherent overall arrangement with a clear introduction and conclusion, as well as distinct body paragraphs. Transitional phrases such as 'To commence with', 'Moving further', 'On the other hand', and 'In conclusion' are utilized to structure the text. However, cohesion is sometimes faulty or mechanical. For instance, phrases like 'there are numerous disagree points' and 'taking all aspects into my consideration' feel unnatural and awkward. Paragraphing is present, but the logical progression within paragraphs is occasionally disrupted by repetitive phrasing and abrupt transitions. Referencing is sometimes unclear, such as pronoun usage in 'it causes death of the person'. These issues place the response solidly at Band 5.5.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

The student uses an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, successfully communicating everyday ideas related to health problems, travel expenses, and medical treatments. However, there are frequent word-choice and collocation errors that hinder precision. Examples include 'everyone face' instead of 'everyone faces', 'doctors high fess' instead of 'doctors' high fees', 'no proper checkup' instead of 'inadequate medical examinations', and 'online dictores'. Less common lexical items are attempted, such as 'prominent point' and 'unregulated', but inaccuracies in spelling and form are noticeable throughout the text. While these lexical slips do not completely impede communication, they restrict the score to Band 5.0.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

The student attempts a mix of simple and complex sentence forms, utilizing relative clauses and subordinate structures like 'individuals who take medicines from online doctors' and 'because they consume overdose'. However, control over grammar is inconsistent, and frequent errors occur in subject-verb agreement ('everyone face', 'medicines... causes'), prepositions ('died with consuming' instead of 'died from consuming'), and article usage. Punctuation errors are also present, such as missing spaces after commas. Complex sentence attempts are often faulty, and grammatical errors can occasionally cause some difficulty for the reader, placing the grammar performance at Band 5.0.
