Student answer (Band 5.5)

In recent years the topic of health problems are now considerable debate while some individuals advocate for its widespread adaption others express its drawbacks. In my opinion, i am totally disagree with this.In this essay, i will explain my poin of views by analyzing the approach.

Nowadays, this is a biggest problem that peoples who have severe disease are adapted to other medicines that can sometime helpfull for them. For instance, they go to local doctors for their checkup and take local medicines from this prospective it becomes harmfull for them and leads to death. Therefore, it does not provides benefits for the patients and societies as a whole.A partinent example of this can be seen in real world.

On the other hand, visiting to their familily doctors are good for them because they know the history of a patient and prescribe medicines according to them while in contrast when they visit other doctor they dont know the history they give them pain killers for short relief they think this is good for there health but painkillers causes many problems to health of a patient leading to cancer. When patient get relief from pain they will tell other patients in a society and also this is not good for all of them.

In conclusion, it is a negative development so government needs to strict their policy regarding checking the hospitals either it is legal doctor or not and also need to start compains or advertisements on the tv and also on social media because this is very necessary for us.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5

The response addresses the task only partially, expressing a clear position that the development is negative, but the ideas remain limited and under-developed. For instance, the discussion moves quickly between visiting local doctors, alternative medicines, and painkillers without fully explaining how these elements directly answer the prompt about alternative treatments. Some points, such as the mention of cancer resulting from painkillers, are underdeveloped and lack logical support. To reach a higher level, the writer needs to explore their ideas more thoroughly, providing fully elaborated arguments with specific, relevant explanations rather than relying on generalized and disconnected statements.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5

There is some basic organization with an introduction, body paragraphs, and a conclusion, but the overall progression lacks clarity and logical flow. Cohesive devices are used awkwardly or inaccurately, such as starting paragraphs with 'Nowadays, this is a biggest problem' or relying heavily on repetitive transitions like 'On the other hand.' Paragraphing is attempted, but the internal links between sentences often feel mechanical or disconnected, which disrupts the flow of the argument. Referencing is also occasionally unclear, making it hard to follow which group of people or doctors the writer is referring to. Improving the logical connection between sentences and using a wider, more accurate variety of cohesive markers would greatly enhance the structure.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

The vocabulary used is limited and minimally adequate for the task. There are noticeable errors in word choice, word form, and spelling throughout the essay, such as 'adaption' instead of 'adoption', 'poin of views', 'harmfull', and 'compains'. The student attempts some less common vocabulary, but inaccurate collocations and spelling mistakes—like 'familily' and 'strict their policy'—cause some difficulty for the reader. To improve in this area, the writer should focus on expanding their range of functional vocabulary, paying closer attention to correct word forms, and ensuring accurate spelling of common academic and everyday terms.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

The writing demonstrates a very limited range of sentence structures, with frequent errors that can cause difficulty for the reader. Simple sentences dominate, and attempts at more complex structures are often faulty, as seen in 'peoples who have severe disease are adapted to other medicines' and 'visiting to their familily doctors are good for them.' There are frequent issues with subject-verb agreement, article usage, and punctuation, such as missing spaces after periods and incorrect comma splices in the introduction. The majority of sentences contain grammatical slips. To achieve a stronger band, the writer must work on mastering basic sentence mechanics, improving subject-verb agreement, and building better control over complex grammatical patterns.
